Any idea how to get the vibration to work? I lock on the target but no vibration.
Try taking the battery out, then putting it back in.  This might reset it

Any black friday deal coming up?

This is just a public service announcement for anyone looking for a great deal.  Rockbottomgolf (dot com) is having a 20% off CyberMonday (with that code) special today which applies to the Precision Pro- NX7 rangefinders.  Coupled with the manufacturer's $30 rebate, I believe the deal is very appealing -- so much so that I have one on order.

2 clubs is a really big slope, it's something that surprised me also what seems like allot of slope is actually not tha much.

I ignore the slope as well.  I love this range finder because it tags so easily at distance, but I found the slope feature disappointing. However, I still think the nx7pro is a great device at a great price.

If I do this 11,548 more times, I will be having fun.  - Zippy the Pinhead

The only issue I've seen is that occasionally I'll get a reading that shows something like 7.1 yards (when I'm obviously 100+ yards out. Occasionally it'll correct itself if I shoot a different target and then shoot the pin again. This past round I did run into an issue where no matter where I shot, it would only give me between 3 and 7 yards. Finally had to take the battery out and put it back in for it to work without an issue. Apart from that inconvenience, I really think this is by far the best combination of performance and price on the market.

Same thing happens with my NX7 Pro. I'd say probably 1/3 of the time I get a reading from 3-7 yrds when I'm clearly much farther to pin (100+). That or it will show as no battery in the viewfinder and then not provide a distance. Have to wait until it shuts off then try it again. Hoping a new battery will fix this. Other than having to shoot pins 2-4 times to get a reading (from the 3-7 or battery error), still a big fan. At a fraction of the cost of a Bushnell and within 1-2 yards of most competitors on the market (I always try to compare when I'm playing with golfers who have other range finders), not to mention an American-owned small business, Precision Pro delivers a great product.

Reading earlier in the thread you're getting those short distances for one of two reasons. There could be a hill/mound in front of you and this viewer has a bit wider laser that makes it harder to shot over. Or more likely you have a finger getting slightly in front of the bottom lens.

Weíve had enough good weather lately to allow me to get some rounds in with my NX7 and Iím pretty happy with it.
Price was certainly right: started at $199 but after $20 off for being a GOLFWRX member and $30 rebate at the end of the year, it came in under $150 for a Ďjoltí equipped laser.
Small size is easy to handle, it has quick response acquisition, and (with comparison to my playing partnerís Bushnell) spot on accuracy.
My only complaint, and itís a small one, is that the case zipper is kind of wonky and the tab that you pull it with came off pretty quickly. Iíve replaced the pull with a nice big zip tie and it works fine.
All in all, two thumbs up. Good job Precision Pro.

I received my NX7Pro this weekend and used it for 81 holes of golf. The normal non-slope reading was always within 2-3 yards of the Bushnell's I was playing with. However, my slope readings were always way off. I also noticed that the slope was always higher than the non-slope reading. This was even the case when I was certain that I was hitting to a green below the tee box in elevation. Is there something I can adjust? Anyone else having this issue?

Sorry that you're having trouble with the NX7 Pro. It sounds like you might have a defective unit. That shouldn't be happening. If you give our customer service line a call, we'll get your details and have a replacement shipped to you. 888-568-6770 ext. 3

Played a tournament this weekend and a guy in my group had a new bushnell.  We compared it to the nx7 all day and every distance shot was almost the same.   I didnít notice any speed differences between the 2 either.  Great product guys.   Pretty sure I sold another golfer on them as well.

I just purchased the NX7-Pro after reading the reviews. My GPS watch still works like a charm, and I will keep it handy, but I figured Iíd step a little deeper into the 21st century by giving the laser range finder a whirl. It should be delivered early next week so Iíll check back in afterwards. Silly question but is this USGA approved and is the slope function USGA approved? Thanks

Thanks for purchasing a NX7 Pro! You're gonna love it. As for your question, rangefinders are approved by the USGA. However... the slope function is not. But we got you covered, because your new NX7 Pro has the ability to turn off the slope function, which will keep it USGA approved. (cool)

Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks again! Feel free to email us at seth@precisionprogolf or call 888-568-6770 with any questions.

Want to thank customer service for quick response. My battery died mid round but I thought it was the unit. I wanted to test it with another battery and I tried  to get one from the store but they were of that model battery.

So on a chance I emailed PPG about their replacement battery, ordered late Monday night and it was here yesterday via usps. Thanks for the fast processing and delivery!

The unit vibrates once it hits a target. It will hit the target closest to where you are shooting, which should be the pin. I have hit the trees in the back while trying to get the pin, but that's probably due to my shaky hands.

Note this isn't limited to this particular rangefinder, but all of them: it doesn't really, once it locks on to something it will jolt but pins are generally are easier to find due to the refraction prism they put on top.  Generally speaking when you get a tree in the back you'll know it just because you've played enough golf to have an idea on how to eyeball yardages.  My mode of op is generally just to shoot something three times to make sure I am getting a correct read.

I'd avoid ordering this on Amazon right now.  They apparently have put the Pro NX7 barcode stickers on the Nexus boxes.  So you end up getting the Nexus model.  Was looking forward to trying this.

FIXED! Sorry if this was a problem that anyone experienced. We've been on the phone with Amazon a LOT these last few days to get this fixed. All of the incorrectly labeled products have been removed from their warehouses.
