I got an email from Golf USA saying mine shipped this morning. Still waiting for the UPS tracking page to show it in transit though.

Did you get a tracking number through golfusa or tmag?

It was Golf USA, but being shipped directly from Taylormade. Updated tracking looks like it should show up today..

Anyone else feel like these DJ/Jason Day slant neck spiders set up open when on the ground at address?  They seem to fall open and not sit square unless you add a little forward press or shaft lean...

I picked one up from my local roger Dunn golf store today. It feels really nice when squared up. It does have some toe hang. I noticed that if you miss the sweet spot on the putter you can really tell you missed. I did sink 5  8'-10' puts in a row. Like I said, if you hit it on the sweet pot it feels really good.

Some people have this visual of it on their putters. My DJ model sits square to my eyes. I heard some of the sole plates had this issue and there were two different sole plates sent out. I am not sure of the legitimacy to that though. Love mine as well.

Messed around with it at Golf Galaxy tonight.  I really liked the feel of it.  Not super soft like the Odyssey inserts I am used to, but not hard like a non insert putter.  I feel like it is just enough.  Long putts were great.  It was indoors on a practice area, but 30 and 40 feet putts were really good.  Never left them more than a foot or two away from the cup and I sunk a few.  Probably going to end up getting one.

Yes. I putted with both at Golf Galaxy/Golfsmith near me and they definitely sat open at address. I had to feel like I was lifting the back up off the ground in order for it to sit square. Was a deal breaker for me.

Edit: Both the red and black sat open like that.

I took all 3 of the new models for a spin today at GG and didn't notice any difference at set up.

I would agree with you as far as it sitting open at set up. I don't know if it has to do with the plate on the bottom or what? 🤔🤔🤔
I have a picture of the toe hang also. It is quite a bit I would say.

Not really. Feel like any other mallet. If you're coming from a blade then obviously the feel will be different.

How funny you say that. I thought the same thing, but when you have it in your hands it's actually small and kind of light in my opinion. I have a Cameron golo 5r and that feels quite a bit heavier then this does. I think I am going to continue gaming my golo 5r

I ordered the all black model today. I was in Dick's for a grip, while looking around the putters there was three platinum Spiders. I quickly took one down and putted for few minutes with it and it still had the plastic on the face. It felt good, and I think it has huge potential. I putted well considering the plastic and store's artificial greens. If DJ ditched his GASS 009 Cameron for one of these they must be good. I like to aim off the face and the adjustable weights are a big advantage for me. If I absolutely want a sight line I'll just use white pin striping.

Don't really see how it sets up open. I'm 6'2"ish w/ a 35" Spider Tour and it sits square every time behind the ball. And flows back and through soooo nicely.

I've never been more pleased with a putter in my life.

I went from trying to cozy 20+ footers up there, to actually trying to make them - and making some of them.

Speed control is easy, touch on short putts is easy, and alignment is somehow easy regardless of no sight line.

Really wanted to replace the stock grip with one of the SuperStroke's - but I really like that black grip that comes on it.

I think the Spider Tour does not have the feel of a $300 putter as it feels hollow to me.  Contact feels cheap.  I then grabbed the new Odyssey 7 Milled, and that feels like it is almost worth every dollar.  It is about $79 overpriced.

When the number 1 and 2 ranked golfers in the world are using basically using the same putter they will sell fast. Will they be the next two ball putter? I read Taylormade went nuts when they found out DJ won with a Spider like JD uses. I am sure they are making them as fast as possible.

When you can't get sold because no one wants you and you have a product that might help your sales you try flooding the market as soon as possible to make money while you can. The spiders are positioned perfectly with recent success on tour to sell and now is probably their peak.

Tried Spider Tour Black at PGATSS and really liked it over the red. But I think I will stick with my Bettinardi.

I just wanted to add two photos of the Limited version for comparison. When I tested the tour versions they sat open to my eyes as well and the sight line helps me immensely when lining up the putt and keeping a smooth stroke.
