I was thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these. However, I haven't really been able to find much information about how the putter performs or feels.

Wondering if anyone took a chance on one and how they like it / dislike it.

Thanks all!

I have played two rounds with this putter. One I putted very well and one I putted awful. Lag putts, however, were good both days. That is where I am benefitting the most from this putter.

I absolutely love the look and the head size, and that I can change weights.  The feel is awesome with the firmer insert too. I just installed a Superstroke GT and I think that combo will be very successful.

I love the low profile and believe that I'll be bagging one by mid summer.   First round of 34 putts and I'm be purchasing it.

I love this putter with the sight line, but I'll never understand how anyone gets properly lined up without any alignment aid, especially on a mallet this big.  I'd have trouble keeping it on the green.

I love mine because I'm someone who draws a line on the ball and lines that up. For me, that makes it better for the putter to not have an alignment aid as well. It's my favorite putter I've ever used, weighted perfect - looks sharp - feels great - and puts a really nice roll on the ball.

Are you able to order the spider tour black with a sight line and for it to be face balanced?

Not positive, but I think that makes it the Limited.

It probabaly would but the limited comes in all red and mostly black with a bit of red. I think there's a red and platinum model coming out as well that has the same specs as the spider limited. However, there's isn't an all black model in the limited range so that's why I was asking.

I was and still am looking for this model.... I feel like I remember it being announced, but never actually saw one for sale anywhere except for here. I should've purchased one when I had a chance.

I personally like the Spider Slant (DJ model) a lot better than the Spider Limited with the shaft going directly into the clubhead.

That looks so sweet. I would love to have that. I have the spider limited in all red and don't get me wrong, I love it and it's amazing. But I would love it that little bit more in all black. I enquired about having it custom painted all black but 3 different companies told me that since the insert is so soft, they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't be effected so I'm not taking the risk.

It's very nice but DJ's putter has toe hang that is designed for a slight arc stroke. I have a straight back straight through stroke so a face balanced putter is more suited to my stroke hence why I'm not gunning for his particular model. It looks very nice though.

I am seriously thinking of giving these a try. I looked at the all black, all red. and black and red. I think I would prefer a sight line and think the black/red would be the best. I thought I read that on either the red one or the black one you cannot change the weights. I'm not sure that is a deal breaker. The black with red is the one I am leaning towards. Has anyone had issues with the face wearing?

Cannot find anything online, does anyone have any good reference for how much toe hang 38* is when comparing it to the face balanced.

Can someone compare the spider "red" limited, to the tour black (specifically face balanced to 38* toe hang)

Thanks

I used the red limited for a while with the shaft going straight into the head, has the same toe hang as the slant neck.

This thread has a lot of the answers everyone is looking for:

http://www.golfwrx.c...y-any-one-know/

I have the black Spider Tour with the Itsy Bitsy sole plate, not the Tour sole plate (apparently there is a difference in the way it sits because the sole plates are shaped differently), and I have to say that I think this is going to be my gamer for a while. I've gotten in 4 full rounds and a few practice sessions with it and I love the firmer feel (used with a Pro V1x or Srixon XV), it's not a click, it's just a solid feeling. I have had very little trouble with the ball skidding, even with lag putts on a shaggy green. The slant neck seems to fit my eye very well and it may not be for everyone but it definitely is for me. I like not having a sight line because I am more of a feel putter and tend to manipulate my stroke when I have any sort of alignment aid on the putter or the ball.

From 5 feet and in, this putter is deadly for me. It is extremely stable because of the perimeter weighting and high MOI. The fact that it has changeable weights is a huge benefit as now I have been able to dial in the exact weight I want. There are few putters I've felt this confident with in the past and I've always reluctantly sold them - I won't make that mistake again. This thing is point and shoot.

For what it's worth - I have a SBST stroke and the 38* of toe hang is negligible.

I use the DJ version now, and ordered the JDay version out of curiousity. The black is the best looking and feeling putter I have ever used. Now I can have one to change to if one of em goes cold.

Here's the black. Obviously the face balanced would have the face parrellel to the countertop.

If only there was a place close I could try one that wasn't over 100 miles away. Dick's is here bit they call it a 'small store' so they don't carry higher end stuff including the Nike Fly line of shoes, the most popular.  :-( They should call it a worthless store.lol

There was a collage tournament at our local muni yesterday. I saw about 4-5 players on the green and they all has Spiders.

Still shows "being processed" not shipped yet. Soon hopefully. Was hoping with all the ones people have already it would be on the way sooner but oh well.

Yes - there are two different models of the Spider Tour Black. There was a version that was released in November that was limited release, which has this sole plate:

And the model that is currently being sold has this sole plate:

Those seem to be the only differences between the two. They are mostly cosmetic but I've read that the 2nd image I just posted sits different due to those indents.

I have the same putter and sole plate. There were different ones made?

Yes - there are two different models of the Spider Tour Black. There was a version that was released in November that was limited release, which has this sole plate:

Awesome! I'll continue to spam refresh my order page and cross my fingers for shipment in the next couple of days.
