Hey Guys,

I am looking for a new golf shoe for the start of the 2017 year. I have had my eye on the Footjoy SL Pro. I've never worn a spikeless shoe before but I have read and watched a bunch of reviews on this shoe. Mostly everyone is saying that this shoe is rather tough when it comes to morning dew or crappy weather. I joined a club last year, so most of the golf I am doing is walking. I also looked at getting some True Linkswear. I have always worn FJ so not sure if I want to make a switch. Played in the FJ freestyle's last year but wasn't blown away and especially because they weren't as water proof as I thought. Please let me know what your opinion's are on the best walking shoes.

Footjoy SL Pro is a great choice. I also like my True Linkswear, Ecco, and Puma's. Obviously fit is different for each person so choose what fits you best.

Check out Ecco Cage Pro Boa's if you're looking for a waterproof spikeless shoe. Hard to beat Ecco in terms of walking comfort. I also have a couple pairs of last years Nike FI Impact 2 that I wear on dryer days and they are as comfortable as the eccos.

A big fan of the ProSL.  Played in Houston over the holidays.  There were some wet days.  Never even gave it a second thought,  first spikeless shoe I've liked in that regard.  And they are super comfy.

I been wearing the black ones for the last 3 weekends and absolutely love them, much more comfortable than Adidas Gripmore, similar to Ecco´s but with better grip, i think they´re great

I completely agree. I've had 3 pairs of the Gripmores and they were my favorite non-spike walking shoe of the last few years. But the SL's are just a little bit more comfy and have just a touch more stability. Very glad I bought them.

This is the only picture I could find.  Though there were two more colors there, one white boa and another tan and white.

The new white/blue/orange is nice. Is that going to be released in the US as well? Looks like its on FJ's European website right now.

I've just swapped back to Footjoy shoes after years of wearing Adidas, got a pair of DNA 2.0's last summer now just waiting for the Pro SL's to be released in the UK.

I hope those are comfortable Steve because you look like a clown out here. Planning on going for a jog later? Quit embarrassing yourself and put on your old saddle oxfords.... saddle oxfords.

Big fan of this shoe. I play in Oregon in the winter and I have never had the issues that were presented.

Those are the ones I am wondering about.  Footjoy had them at their booth at the PGA show, they must be coming soon.

To each their own.  In my opinion these look ten times better than the crap that Nike, puma and others have been spewing out.  Not to mention they are incredibly comfortable.

These are the #1 shoe worn by footjoy golfers on tour, footjoy must be on to something.

But if they ever want to reach out to the public for someone's opinion I'll let them know to ask ed who likes to post his thoughts in threads where no one actually asks what he thinks of them.

Pro SLs are awesome shoes.  Completely water proof and comfortable.  Great to walk in.  I am not a fan of True links.  Although they are really comfortable, they fall apart.

Looking forward to trying on the SL.  I have owned Nike, Ecco, Adidas and yet I like the firm feel & support that Foot Joy provides.  Some of the athletic shoes feel so mushy, that it feels the energy gets absorbed too much.  Seems Footjoy provides such great support all around without turning the sole into a marsh-mellow.

I like the black ones, but also the blue and white, unfortunately they are not offered with the Boa system, only an all white version. They should release at least a black boa shoe. And perhaps include them in the myjoy offerings.

I had to switch back to FJ after adidas completely bombed after the original Boost.   I had to go down a half size in this shoe and it still feels a little wide.   Comfy walking 18 in them though.
