Sometimes a certain shaft just performs so much better than others in general that the equipment reps stick it in all of their offerings and most guys don't bother to change.
For instance when they came out with the SLDR, all the reps offered it with some wonky-looking Fujikura that had a really low kick so guys wouldn't get scared of the low launch of the head.

He's been playing the M2 driver for nearly 6 months. He put in play in August of 2016.

Fair point- even Matsuyama dropped it in favour of a Big Bertha a couple months ago. Given the write ups their irons get (haven't hit them as they don't do them left handed here in the UK) maybe they will be going down the Mizuno route of being iron specialists.

He's hitting the new Evenflow shaft from Project X in his driver. Who knows how long it will stick.
