The official product page is live on our site in case you'd like to read more: http://www.fujikurag...tmos-tour-spec/

also, we'll be at tee box #7 at orange county national demo day and you can hit ATMOS Tour Spec with any of the new driver heads. We're in build mode today:

Two comments.

1. What are your intentions on releasing the 80g model for retail purchase? Many guys play it in their fairway.

2. Whats the difference between the ATMOS and original tour spec .2 series? What has changed. They seem to be the same shaft with a different paintjob.

Thanks

@BearQ - sorry for delay in reply, I do my best to be on the forums, but have been pretty busy last 2 weeks as I hope you understand with the launch of ATS and PGA Show…

We appreciate your interest and research into ATMOS Tour Spec. However, we can't look at just the number specs when comparing shafts and assume they're the same and we hope our GolfWRX.com community knows this. One of our most successful shafts on tour were the Motore Speeder VC series. We know this profile works on tour, and we wanted to provide our tour guys newer and better performing options. So please don't get hung up on numbers and jump to conclusions. We encourage you to try ATS and let us know what you think.

As you mention, yes, we'll say newer high mod materials, but it goes beyond that to include learnings from tour and more advanced design processes we've developed in the last few years. These newer materials and newer design processes have shown performances increases in our enso studio. Both Tour players and Tour reps are in need of flighted options that they know will work for their guys and we want to offer a feel that we know works and numbers we know will increase performance, whether that be spin, distance, dispersion, etc.

In regards to 80+ gram ATMOS Tour Spec, we currently have this only on Tour as there is a demand for this primarily in fairway and hybrid. Depending on consumer demand we may introduce it at some point this season. If we do so, GolfWRX will be the first to know.

we have a few online dealers that you guys probably know of, and you can check here and call your local dealer: http://www.fujikurag...dealer-locator/

Matt - so glad you received it and excited to try it. We appreciate your early interest in our newest lineup of tour shafts. The 8TX you have was pulled straight from our (limited!) tour inventory as we thought it would most closely match your current gamer. Let us know how it goes once you do some testing. Let us know if we can ever help with anything or answer any questions.

also quick note: the specs you see in the chart are what we are bringing to production through our charter dealer network. Anything 80+ gram and TX are for our tour players in limited quantities. There's a slight chance we can offer some for sale depending on demand.

How do these compare to the .0/.1/.2 series? Currently playing a 757 Evo X in my M2, but have a 7.2 TS-X tipped 1" in a Mizuno MX500 that is just as good as anything currently out, just afraid it's gonna crack soon. Debating a 7.2TS, 757 Evo/EvoIII for the M2, but interested to hear more about these...

It looks like the specs are almost identical.

Weight   |  Tip Flex  |  Butt Flex  |  Torque
6.2TS Stiff   65 g   85    80    3.4
ATMOS Black 6 Stiff   65 g   87    80    3.4

7.2TS Stiff   74 g 83 74    3.0
ATMOS Black 7 Stiff   74 g 83 74    3.0

7.2TS X-Stiff   76 g   82 69    3.0
ATMOST Black 7 X-Stiff 76 g   82 69    3.0

Wow looks like Atmos are a repaint of the left over inventory of the 7.2's.

Drawing that conclusion based on numbers you read online is not advised. Go hit them both to compare is what we'd recommend.

Has anyone had an opportunity to hit this yet ?

I hit them at the show in the epic SZ and I was impressed with the feel and dispersion was pretty good despite me hitting the X and not TX. I like the idea behind all of the profiles "feeling" similar as it makes the transition to fairway woods pretty easy.  I liked the black a lot in the epic SZ I was hitting mid launch drives that were getting out there pretty good.  I hope the TX are available.

Glad you came by and gave ATMOS a try! Thanks for the feedback. The Epic was popular at Demo Day for us and people seemed to have good feedback on performance of it + ATMOS

It will never be a free upgrade, just as the speeder vc tour spec series before it wasn't

Any chance that you'll be able to get the ATMOS in the new 2017 M1/M2 line?  I understand it may be an upgrade, but looking to purchase a driver soon, and would like to do so as seamlessly as possible.  Thank you

currently no that will not be an option for a new driver, but your local dealer will have them in stock starting March 1. It is best to get fit for ATMOS TS because of the 3 flight options, your dealer can help you find which is best for your swing instead of guess work.

I got to hit these yesterday and I came away extremely impressed. I used to do a lot of shaft testing for another website and I can tell you that these are the most stable shafts I have used. I would also suggest getting fit. I would have expected from my previous experiences that the Black would have been the best fit for me. It was in fact just the opposite. The Red 6X was giving me the most ideal numbers I have ever seen with the tightest distribution I have experienced as well. These are going to be a winner for Fujikura.

How did they feel compared to other Fuji shafts specifically the tour spec 6.2 if you've played those. Really looking to try these out

They have a more lively feel than the 6.2. I currently game the 6.2 TS X and this felt more stable and yet like it has a bit more kick to it. My dispersion was way down and I was playing the same length in both.

The two best shafts in my fitting were the Evo III and the Atmos. The dispersion and the slight drop in spin over the Evo III was what put the Atmos over the top.

We are pleased to hear you got a proper fitting and also that the fitting was able to show you which was best for you. We encourage everyone on here interested in ATMOS to do the same. It is much more likely you'll come away from a fitting gaining a performance improvement than guessing which one will be best. Also the red is by no means a "high launch/spin" shaft, it is just incrementally more than blue and black.

Also, great explanation of the feel difference between the 6.2 and ATMOS, we agree. Keep us posted how you hit it on the course.

They are releasing a Speeder Evolution HB, it has the characteristics of the Speeder 8.8/9.8 before it.

Not to thread jack, but does anyone have any reviews on the new speeder evo hb hybrid shaft? I am changing my bag around and was looking for a 90 gram class hybrid shaft and blindly pre-ordered this.

That's awesome to hear I'm hoping to hit them tomorrow

We are pleased to hear you got a proper fitting and also that the fitting was able to show you which was best for you. We encourage everyone on here interested in ATMOS to do the same. It is much more likely you'll come away from a fitting gaining a performance improvement than guessing which one will be best. Also the red is by no means a "high launch/spin" shaft, it is just incrementally more than blue and black.

Also, great explanation of the feel difference between the 6.2 and ATMOS, we agree. Keep us posted how you hit it on the course.

No doubt this is no "high spin" shaft. It gave me some of the lowest spin numbers of any shaft. It also gave me the best launch numbers of any shaft. It is exactly what I have been looking for for a long time. I am grateful the fitter thought of it. I liked it so much in the driver that I am seriously considering going with it for my 3W.

Thanks for the info.  The Atmos must be incredible if it is better than the Evo III, which I think is the best feeling and performing shaft I've ever tried!

Without the 80g shafts and readily available TX flex shafts, this thread has become a waste of time.

Why would you not offer them to the public?  Besides not wanting to sell shafts?

without jumping all over the rep from Fujikura who is nice enough to post here, I will echo the fact that it is honestly pure garbage we can not get the heavier weight shafts, some of us like 70/80 gram driver shafts and then 80/90 or heavier shafts for the fw.

its not like they are not physically made, you just choose not to offer them...its really a poor sales tactic.

might as well find another company that has its product available in the specs I want
