I've been playing the blue in my epic sub zero since the shaft was released and it's been awesome. Went back to the fitter and surprised to find out I the 8tx in the black was way better in the sub zero 3 wood.

The blue 8x would ballon and fall out to the right the black had really nice high trajectory.

Now my question is why is the black 80g the only model in the line marked with the tx designation? I've seen some tour issue or early release black with the 6tx and 7tx.

Fujikura or anyone do you know the difference, especially in the 70g models

Seriously awesome product though

I have the black 7x TS

Just put a black 6x in my M2 and am loving it.  Now looking for a 3w shaft.  Was thinking either blue 7x or black 7x.  Probably hit my 3w more off the tee so maybe stick with the black?

I would love to have a blue or black for my 3wood too.  If you hit more off the tee the black would definitely work nicely.
Getting a atmos black 7x for my 3 wood in the mail today. Will let you guys know how it is!

Oh snap!  Got yourself a treat!  Let us know how it goes.

Currently play Speeder 8.2X tipped 1.5 inches in my Nike Vapor Pro 3 wood.
Also HZRDUS Black 6.5 75 tipped 0.5 inches in my Sub Zero driver

I am trying to get an M2 Tour 15* head and going with one of three options -

Keep current shaft
Buy Atmos Black 8X - no idea tipping
Buy AD GP 8X - no idea tipping

Can anyone help me with opinions on anything there?

Callaway Sub Zero 8* HZRDUS Black 75 6.5
Taylormade M2 Tour 14* Speeder TS 8.2X
Nike Vapor Fly Pro 2 iron C taper X
Mizuno Mp 25 3-6  C taper X
Mizuno Mp 5 7-Pw C taper X
Vokey SM5 54*M C taper X
Vokey SM5 60*M KBS Tour X
Nike Method Origin B2/01

I've tried the atmos black 7x in a driver, and it didn't quite work for me.  Was a nice shaft, but just didn't quite do it.  I have a M2 tour 15 degree fairway and put a AD GP 8TX in it and it is excellent.  Launches great and feels really good.  Just a nice stable shaft.  I'm sure the Atmos black 8x would be great also.

Tested at the range. It plays like my speeder 8.2 but lighter. I actually can't tell them apart. Anyways, I don't think I get along with a 75 gram shaft in the 3 Wood. Need an 85, should have been patient instead of just grabbing what's available. Will be going on BST

FWIW, I haven’t played either shaft but did a fitting and the final shafts were the Atmos Blue or Pro 63. There was definitely a different feel but in the numbers for my swing those came out similar (cool clubs fitting numbers that would work for my swing. But I should add I was a solid stiff in the Atmos and could play either an X or S in the 63 depending on what on my personal preference.

I know some have mentioned pros vs cons on tipping these shafts. Does anyone have info on tip to graphics measurements for the atmos? I just put a red 6X in my m2 and it launches very low, wondering if it’s been tipped or not.

You going to release the tx? Or is that a tour only also what's the difference between the x and tx?

We only have TX in the 80 gram available, specs here: http://fujikuragolf....tmos-tour-spec/

X to TX differs per shaft, but in case of ATMOS we have slightly stiffer materials in both handle section and tip.

Note: The 7TX you see in photo is actually an 7X which I will be mentioning to [edit] mackepa

Fujikura ...

Can you clarify that remark about "slightly stiffer materials in both handle section and tip".

I like handle and tip stiff shafts.

I game the Rombax P95 in 3 Fairways (14.5°, 16.0° & 18.5°) and I game the Speeder 904HB in 5 Hybrids (16.0°, 18.0°, 20.0°, 23.0° & 26.0°).

I don't however game a Fuji in the Driver and I would like to. Reading this thread, I've seen a few fellows mention an ATMOS shaft that plays similarly to Mitsubishi's Kai'li. I game a Kai'li in the Driver; based on my keeness for the Rombax P95 in Fairways and Speeder 904HB in Hybrids which ATMOS would you suggest?

Thank you for your time!

Has anybody demoed the new "Folds of Honor" version. I read it was the Atmos Black profile with a slightly softer tip? Interested in the 6s version untipped?

The Atmos will be standard in the M4...not the current Atmos TS though.

The folds would feel like a updated x.3 TS

It's placement in the line up reads almost word for word what Fuji did with the x.3 TS shafts which were softer butt & slightly softer tipped x.2 TS.

I'm kind of the broken record on here in regards to atmos red. SO good. Super stable, good initial launch, feels great, no surprises.

Anyone put the Black or Blue Hybrid shaft in a 3 iron head? Curious on this set up and how it performs for you!

I've done this with both the Blue HB and the Red HB. Great results each time, these are great shafts for this purpose.

Specificially, I put a Red 7s in a Srixon u65 2-iron and that was a HUGE improvement over the factory shaft. Much more stable and despite the softer flex (I usually play an X), my dispersion tightened up quite a bit. I was very happy with distance and spin as well (launch monitor average for this combo was; 242y carry, 146mph ball speed, 104 club speed). I ended up selling this combo because I wanted a slightly higher weight shaft and a sole that I was more comfortable with (I prefer a narrower sole you get w/the u65).

I moved on to a 716 T-MB 3-iron with a Blue 8s in it and it's performed just as well as the Srixon (sorry, no launch monitor data on that combo). Chances are that I'll be selling this one shortly though. I'd prefer a 2-iron and bending the T-MB 3-iron stronger adds more offset than I really want (I'd rather bend something weak than strong for that reason alone). I already grabbed a Blue 8x for my next build, just need to decide on a head.

I have yet to try a Black HB shaft. I started w/the Red mainly because I wanted to see a higher initial launch (which the Red fit perfectly). Moved to the Blue for more weight (and an option in X-flex) and instead tweaked loft to obtain the initial launch that I was after. Hopefully this winter I'll be able to nail down exactly what head I want to try next. I'd prefer something with a stock loft right around 18' to give me a little room on the weak side if I do end up needing to bend it some to achieve the exact launch window and total carry distance that I'm looking for. I've considered putting the Blue 8x in my baby blade 2-iron, could be fun?

Do you have any specific questions on this combo or just looking for thoughts in general???

Currently game the P790 3i bent 1deg strong so it’s playing 19deg. I have a Recoil Proto 125X now in it and the spin is higher than I would like. And it’s a mid to high launch and I wouldn’t mind bringing the launch down a bit. So wasn’t sure on blue vs black. I like the weight of my Recoil so I wasn’t sure how that coralates to hybrid shaft weights. Also enjoy the feel of the Recoil and didn’t want a harsh feeling shaft in my 3i. I’ve narrowed to Atmos or the AD-DI Hyb 105X. And not sure which one to go for! Since that’s not something you can’t  demo really to see what works. If it helps I play the Tensei Pro White in my woods 70TX for Driver and 80TX in my 3W. And Nippon 125X in my irons.
