New school now, but I can see the attraction of the old school ones too..

Visors are comfortable and light, and it sure beats the heat on the hot days.

dunno bout you guys, but i wear a visor to protect my face from the sun; not to make a statement or look like a player/poseur.  a bigger brimmed visor may look dorky, but i think it covers more of your face than the standard 'new school' visor.

i wear a bigger brimmed visor usually, but i wish i didn't have to wear anything...  oh well.

Agree. Leave the visor wearing to the girls-or Montgomerie

for you guys that hate the visor....perhaps we like it for its function. Where is the majority of your body heat released when your temp rises.....the head. I love having my visor on warm days....keeps me cooler. On cool days I rock the cap.

I noticed Brandt Snedeker pulls of the old school visor fairly well

as far as old school vs new school....new school all the way

and have you ever wondered the correlation between pros that wear full caps and baldness?

where is the No option

Seconded.

From a health standpoint, a visor is useless.

Tim Rosaforte has thicker eyebrows than I have so, www.tilley.com

I have the LTM 8, the hat is wash & wear and is guaranteed for life against normal wear & tear including regular washing. There's your "NO option".

EDIT: Noticed too late, this thread is over a year old but, the link still stands...Worth looking into...JMO!

I like my visors like my hair, big and floppy. Nothing is better than a Big, Floppy, Masters visor. I wish companies like Bridgestone would make their "tour" visors available to everyone. Or the Ping visors that Bubba wears...

Bridgestone Tour visors.

My theory is there is a socio-economic element to this. Members at most private clubs I've played (young or old) rock the old school visor and vice versa at muni's. Just my observation.

I like the old school, but only because I want people to think I choppered in for a quick 18.

The "old school" classics are the only visor I would ever wear.  The "new school" visors look like they were made for adolescent boys, (or even girls).

I am just guessing if you started this poll "fresh" today the results would be very different. Try finding an old school visor.  Does seem like more were offered for 2010 (Titelist, Callaway, Nike, Bridgestone, etc...) but I think they are actually harder to find in shops because they are selling through. Tastes do shift. At some point retro becomes mainstream again.

I love my white masters visor and the green one too. I think it should be a requirement that one has hair to wear any visor though.

Old school visors like the Scratch one that was recently posted are great. I really like this style, but they are definitely difficult to find.

I'm 23 and prefer the old school big brim look. Maybe because I also like New Era 59/50 baseball caps as well, and they usually have a bigger brim than usual.

I don't wear visors but I think classic style beats new school any day. I like the old pictures of like the guys in the 90s rocking the huge visor rather than the Luke Donald type visor.

If I HAD to choose a Visor, it would be new school.......
but I have a saying that I hope will keep kids out of jail.......

"Just say NO to Visors.......................................and Ian Poulter clothes"

heheheh..I'm almost bald, so I don't do Visors, although even when I was young and had lots of hair I wouldn't wear one....and thought even less of them

I'm definitely a visor guy, almost never wear hats.  I've been wearing the "new school" visors for so long now they seem old school, but I have to admit the bigger brim visors are making a comeback and I recently bough one at The Golf Club of Scottsdale and I like it...

I am  a huge visor guy. But I only rock the big old school visors. My favorite are the Imperial Tour Visors. My college golf team just had some made and I love them.

I generally where visors in the Florida heat.  I just get a headache wearing hats in 90 degree weather.  I wouldn't mind rocking an old school visor, but they are tough to find.

I would like to wear a visor because it would be cooler but when I've tried one my hair looks like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket!!!
