Good low profile one color solid visors are hard to find these days...

I hated....I mean HATED visors until I recently tried on a new school T.P. Mills visor.  All I can say is that I am a convert!  I really love how light they feel on the head...can only imagine how comfy they'll be on a warmer day.  And the low pro look just fits my melon perfectly.

I am not going to stop wearing hats...I will likely wear them 75 percent of the time, perhaps more..but the new school visors have totally changed my attitude.

i cant see anyone non-european wearing a visor. not my cuppa tea.  wuts wrong with tha hats out there now? you guys trying to tan your hair lol. i guess im missing the whole visor deal. the hats out there are pretty nice if you ask me. the only visor i wpould wear is the gag daniel chopra one with the hair that george lopez was wearing at pebble when he was in chopra's group

From a health standpoint, a visor is useless.

I don't wear a visor much any more due to receding hair line and ever increasing thinning on top. But when I do, watch out for sunburned head, I prefer old school.

I have 3, a black Titleist, a blue 2000 US Open Pebble Beach, and a white Masters and these are getting almost impossible to find.

I like the old school visors a lot better for me.  I have never been a fan of the chopped off hat look of the lo-pro visors.  I tried to wear a couple of them and just felt like a dork.  Some people pull them off better than me, though. I just look better in the classic old school style visor.

On a side note, I thought the old school visor was making a bit of a comeback, according to this poll, I guess I was wrong.

Why are they putting a different color material at the end of the brim on alot of new hats and visors? I am not picking on you gxgolfer. I just saw the picture and it reminded me of a gripe I have been having. I love picking up a new hat or visor at a course I play for the first time. But, more and more it seems that all the hats have a stripe at the end of the brim. I hate the way it looks. I guess I am just a plain jane type of guy, but I like a hat that is all one color.

Does anyon else feel the same way or am I the only one?

seriously though, Im a hat person (b/c i dont have much hair) but I like the different color on hat or visor, it sets the brim off in an understated way.  


I think visors work GREAT for people like Poulter, Luke Donald, Freddie....that have hair that really looks good on them, or really defines them in a way.

Old school for sure.  The new "visors", if you can even call them that don't even look like true visors, but hats with their tops cut off.

I also think, with old school visors being harder and harder to find, the players recieving the visors will be impressed with your choice to go old school.

The visors I like are really "hybrids."  I have a big head, so the new school visor or a baseball cap just doesn't look right.  The old school visors have a tall "logo" section, which I don't like.

To me a visor is the only way to go! I am playing in summer heat 90 plus and high humidity I am not worried about the fashion contest ladies .  I want to be shaded and cool. But just in case I like the new visor lol.

Just my opinion but I think visor's are terrible looking.  Now I have to be honest, I'm 'bout as bald as you can get up top but I still think they look bad even with a full crop of hair.  I'll stick to a ball hat, preferbly a hockey-related one.

You're not alone.  For me, it's not so much the way it looks but the way it feels.  The brim is heavy and stiff as a board.  Not comfortable at all IMO.

I wear both but prefer new school visors on hot days, much cooler.  I understand why you baldies would hate visors. Also, your heads probably don't get as hot under a hat on a hot humid day.

The imperial HX visors are the best I have found.  They are a performance fabric that wicks and never looks wet,  I hate the sweat band at the base of the brim that some hats and visors get.
