I am a big fan of the classic tour visors.  Here is a great exaple:

Old School

But more and more these are hard to find and no one carries them.  What we see now are these visors that look like a regular ballcap that has been chopped off.

Example:

New School

Which do you prefer?  I do a charity tournament and I am trying to decide what to get as the gift.

All you out there that are making hats, how about some logo visors on the classics?  Why can't I find a Callaway visor like this?  The new tour authentics are a good try, but not the same.

short new school. Although I think visors are lame in general.

throw on a hat or leave it off. Don't approve of any visors.

Just my opinion.

The old school style is just lame on anyone not named Freddie Couples or Stuart Appleby.

I like my visors like my hair, big and floppy.  Nothing is better than a Big, Floppy, Masters visor.  I wish companies like Bridgestone would make their "tour" visors available to everyone.  Or the Ping visors that Bubba wears...

Definitely new school, I hate to say it but if I won one of those old school in a tournament I would have to give it away. I would feel like I was 60. Besides that I wear visors because my damn head is too big so it is very hard to find a ball cap that fits good AND looks decent. I always look too much like Spanky from The Little Rascals when I where a cap.

I was never much of a visor fan.

I have a small but long head and they look odd on me. The front looks massive, whatever visor it is. Sort of like one of those cowcatchers that the trains used to have on the front of them in the cowboy films...

Love the new school visors.  Used to dislike visors a lot, mainly the old styling.  Now I'm in my 30's with a full head of hair.  So while my friends are all shaving their heads, I have grown mine out and want to flaunt it in a new school visor!  :black eye:

I think you will find the divide in preference is directly associated with age. Most of the guys that have been around awhile probably prefer the old school tour visor while most young guns prefer the the low profile.

For me.....old school no doubt.

If I were to wear a visor the new incarnation is how I would go.  With my hairline(I have the u look going from lower case to capital) retreating I go with nothing or a hat.  I have about a half dozen visors that collect dust.  I seem to try them on, look in the mirror, shake my head and take it off.

Sweet! Being in my mid 20's make me a veteran.  I would theorize that head size has something to do with it as well.  I have a fairly large forehead (I'm 6'2" so I'm not like Brian Peppers) and the small visors don't shade my eyes from the sun unless I pull them down to my eyebrows.  When the visor is in the eyebrow position, the top of my forehead is peeking out of the top of the visor making me look more ridiculous than I already do.  People with 3, 2 or even 1heads have no problem with this issue as the small visors fit them like the old school tour visors fit me.

I liek the old school look and at 28 I don't think I would fit into the "older" age bracket.

Yep. I wore visors "back in the day" but recently bought a Mizuno tour visor on a golf trip and really like it. Definitely a lot cooler than the massive brimmed visors of yesteryear.

I like the old school look.  I used to pack golf bags at Valhalla GC and it was either a hat or the old style visors.  I rocked the visor.  I now have a white Masters visor, there is nothing cooler.  I hate the new visors, they look unfinished.  Also on a side note, I hate velcro straps.  Maybe thats why I hate the new visors.
