I'm thinking of ordering some red dot ping irons. I really need blue or POSSIBLY even green. can ping irons be bent 2-3 degrees?

If they're forged, they can bend easier. If they're cast, it's not as easy.

Call PING and ask. I bet that can at the very least bend them 2 degrees either way, maybe more...

Are the red dots a set that you've got a chance at buying, and you're aware of your required  colour code?

Sorry to ask, but the obvious answer if you're buying new irons is to get fitted and then ideally purchase the required spec, or one close to it.

Pings are pretty malleable and can generally be adjusted, but some of the older models can be a problem, particularly if you're asking Ping to do the work since some models have restrictions applied to how much (and even if) they can be adjusted.

An article I read stated that Ping's heat treatment allows for up to 6 degrees of adjustability.  However, that's probably 3 degrees in either direction.

Send them back to Ping and have them do the work if you have worries about your local club guy.

I was going to pull the trigger on some eye 2's recently that were red dot (-1* ?). I play to a white dot. My shop called ping while i was standing there and they can only gaurantee 3* if THEY do it. If anyone else does it there is no gaurantee.

Here is a link to Ping's repair page that has the maximum adjustability for their irons:

If you do end up buying them I highly recommend Ping's repair department, great service, quick turn-around and great prices.
