Academy sports has a few deals on the Yeti Hopper 20 @ $210 and the Hopper 30 @ $245 with free shipping. Looks like about 30-40% off retail.

I wouldn't necessarily call RTIC generic. A clone sure, but the youtube rabbit hole I went down researching which to buy all came up RTIC over yeti. It is on the interwebs so it must be true.

I think I'd likely go with MiLTO stuff over all of these brands.  Better quality, and cheaper.

Can't believe no one has mentioned ice mule..  smaller brand, but it's what all the REI types are using.  Love mine because it fits pretty much anywhere and is sub $100.

Also add Monoprice to your list here as they now carry some outdoor products.

This Vacuum bottle is similar to the Hydroflask, and I highly recommend:  http://www.monoprice...duct?p_id=15321

Portable coolers: http://www.monoprice...&seq=1&format=2

Great mug for hot and cold drinks (similar to Yeti one):  http://www.monoprice...&seq=1&format=2

Yep, for some reason, it is cool now to have a name brand cooler over a cooler that cools. Kind of hipster I guess, which is in style, which goes against the idea of being hipster. I'm going Coleman just to be different. I highly doubt that I'll care about it cooling for 2 weeks straight as my rounds usually finish in under 4 hours.

Just bought 3 Yeti Hoppers 20 at Golfsmith. They were 40 percent off, they are christmas presents so I won't even get to try one out. They look heavy duty.

I have both RTIC and YETI tumblers. I think performance wise they are similar, but the YETI is far and away better in terms of quality and fit and finish. The lid on the RTIC easily falls off and leaks while you're drinking, but the YETI lid is tight and never leaks.

By the way, when I visited my local Golfsmith liquidation store they were selling YETI items 30% off. Now that Golfsmith is reducing to 40% I might go back and get some more.

living by the gulf of mexico and there's tons of fishing down here and those things get stolen all the time. a friend has an Ozark bag chest that we took to float the river during the summer, worked really well. i wouldn't spend money on the YETI's now that there's more options for less.

As far as the cups, i bought two when they first came out for me and my wife and we still use it every day. We now each have an Ozark (walmart for $9) to leave at work. Local corner store starting selling the RTIC ones for $15 for the silver ones and $20 for tiffany, camo, pink or black.

So much for tervis cups.

My 18 natty lites go right in the bag and the stragglers are still cold when I get home. No need for coolers in NorCal!
