The M2 Tour has a design for you high swing speed bombers, but the more moderate swing speed M2 Tour is the Regular M2 5 wood.  Smaller head size than the Regular M2 3 wood, but not quite as small as the Tour 3 wood, more loft to get the ball air borne.  I'll bet the M2 Tour HL could be a performer that I haven't tried yet.

Just ordered a 3HL tour with speeder evo 757 TS. Traded in some stuff using the 150% trade in bonus so it ended up a wash cost wise. Should be a cannon!  :)

Got it in yesterday and hit it this morning. 3 wood nirvana. Absolutely amazing off tee or grass!

Thinking of ordering this at 42.25 inches. This seems to be also common to many people on this thread. Is taylor made doing a good job of producing a good swingweignt at this length?

What about the kuro kage 70 vs the tensei blue 70 that can be ordered?

It tells you right on the site what shafts you can get

right I'm asking about two of the shafts that can be ordered, and how the swingweight came out for those who ordered 42.25"  (an inch under standard.) that seems to be a popular length to play these 4 woods at.

Good question. Does Taylormade adjust swingweights for short builds? I don't see that option listed on their custom website.

43.25 is just way too long for a 3/4 wood. Even most pros are in the 42-43 range.

I ordered mine months ago at 42.5, D5 sw.  It came in the first time at 43, D3.  Second time it is at 42.5, D0.  So, even though I'm told they can do something about swingweight, it does not appear that they actually do anything.  The rep is now in the process of seeing if he can get a heavier weight.

Pretty disappointing that they can't just swap out the weight. I mean, that's sort of the point of having the adjustable weight on the bottom of the club.

It would be one thing if you were being picky, but D3 at 43 then D0 at 42.5 means they didn't even try. Just cut the shaft down.

this is why it is difficult ordering from the factory or from a normal storefront that has the factory do the custom work...unless it is built in the tour department - you are screwed.  for the amount of times you hear this being the case with every OEM very few people are willing to spend the extra money (to be fit at a location that is capable) or know of the options available...and it opens the door for true specialized shops to perform that level of customization.  i've had all my work done this year through http://thetourvan.com/

there are other certified fitters that build ALL of their clubs in house (many OEMs have this program)

True, but when they tell you they can do something, I expect them to, you know, actually do it.  If they can't, then fine, just tell me upfront that you will not be able to do it, then I could find another avenue to get what I want.

Can anyone do a comparison between the 17M2 tour and the 16M2 DF?? I have a 16DF in 15 degrees. Love the distance off the tee but struggling with it off the deck and wondering if the 17 M2 tour might be a bit friendlier from this respect.

The only thing I can say in the way of comparison is the leading edge on the '17 Tour seems to be noticeably sharper. Whether or not this helps you personally off the deck is all dependent on the swing I'd suspect. I don't find it to be difficult from the fairway, but no two swings are the same.

How you guys feel about the Hzrdua black in the m2 tour? wish they offered the 85x from the factory. hard shaft to find

The HZRDUS Black 75x in my M2 Tour feels nice and stable.  I have no problem with elevating shots off the fairway, and it produces a very strong ball flight.  Great off the tee, decent into greens.  I'm a very, VERY high spin player, so this was right up my alley.

Owned the 2016 Tour Issue M2 deep face 3hl and liked it fine. Personally prefer the new 2017 M2 Tour 3hl. Easier to elevate off the deck for me and just as long distance wise. Think the m2 tour sole is more rounded so less area getting caught in the turf.

2017 M2 Tour 3wood 15* w/ Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro White 80TX is an absolute rocket launcher.

I can hit a tight draw and feel confident getting home in 2 on par 5's from 280+ out.

Plays more like a 3+ with this low launch shaft, which is exactly what I need (since my 3i that's bent strong covers 250 yards).

My M2 Tour 16.5 HL with Hazrdus Black 6.0 arrived today. I took it to the range and the shaft felt a lot more harsh then I was expecting, so I don't feel like I got the full experience of the head. I did love the way it set up which is half the battle and I did hit some good shots. Plus, I'm 5'7 so the club sitting flatter was a big reason I got one.

Now with that said, my current 3 wood is a 16 M2 15 with a GD DI 7S (1/2" short) in it so that is what I am use to and I just love the feel of that shaft, but I do yank some shots left every now and then.

So, my question for you all: do you think if I switch shafts I am going to find my perfect match? Is the hazrdus black a harsh shaft in general?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Very harsh - I found it to be pretty much unplayable in my experience in my driver (118 Driver SS), albeit part of that was do to insufficient head weight. If you're not a guy with an aggressive move or 115+ head speed I don't think it can be turned into a "smooth" feeling shaft. By no means a one size fits all kind of shaft.

Throw in your AD DI and dont look back!

Although some swear by their hzrdus black -- I've heard of many switching out of it for something smoother / easier to load. Im playing Tour AD TP in their stiffest offerings, I'm the most injured of my life and they feel smooth as silk and give me spin numbers comparable to telephone poles.

The M2 Tour fairway head is a winner, so with the correct shaft pairing it will no doubt be a bomber. With so many great feeling shafts now that offer mid flight / low spin, you should find something that suits your swing. The AD DI 7 in it already sounds promising. Be sure to get the SW right and happy sniping.

If the place you bought it from has the 90 day playability deal, you could return it for one with a Hzrdus Red.  That would play less harsh than the black, but still not quite as smooth as the AD DI.

I just got mine put together this past weekend. 2017 M2 Tour, 15* with Rombax P95X tipped 1" and it's amazing. It's awesome off the tee and just as good off the deck. Can hit it both ways but what gets me is the flight. Ball is launching higher and carrying farther than my old Tour Edge CB2 which had been in the bag for 5+ years.

Has anyone compared this to the Epic SZ fairway wood? Looking for whichever has a shallower face/is easier off the deck as I rarely use my 3 wood off the tee.

Pretty sure the Epic has a shallower face than the M2 Tour

That's correct.  The regular M2 would be much closer in face height to the epic fairway than the M2 tour.

Great, thanks guys. Looking for something with a bit smaller footprint than my current Epic FW so looking like the Epic SZ might be the ticket.

Am I correct when I read the the M2 Tour 3HL is smaller than the than the standard M2 but larger than the M1 3 wood. I unfortunately have no way to compare the 2 in person but the standard M2 looked too big. Also, I am trying the HL for the first time. I have never hit a "3" wood that had a loft more than 15. I am a little worried... Should I be?
