Those Tour Preferred MBs are classics! They blend well with the new wedges, too.

It's going to be very interesting to see which of all of these tour players who are playing the M2 switch to the new M1 or M2.

Taylormade could end up with a marketing disaster on their hands.

Guy who has been using the M1 for over a year switches to the current M2... not long before Tour players will likely start using the new M1 (January I assume?)

I think this speaks to the forgiveness and feel of the M2 vs the M1. I still think the M1 is "slightly" longer, but I'm guessing DJ would gladly give up a couple yards to end up in the fairway more often. This is just my take on the subject and I think it echoes what a lot of people have been saying about the M1 vs M2. Rory plays M2 for a reason and guys with other equipment contracts that play a TM driver tend to choose the M2 as well (Tiger, Gmac, Luke Donald, etc.). It'll be interesting to see how they improve upon the new M2, which is a huge task IMO
Taylormade M2 9.5 set to 7.5 (Matrix Ozik 70 X-Stiff)
Callaway X2 Hot 3 Deep 14.5 Deg X-stiff (Aldila Rogue Green)
(Hybrid Out) Slot to be filled
Mizuno MP-64 4-5 (DG X-100)
Mizuno MP-4 6-PW (DG X-100)
Callaway MD2 50 deg
Vokey SM4 54 Deg
Callaway MD2 60 Deg
(Putter Out) Slot to be filled
Ball: Apply for position

I replaced the driver AND IRONS so now all the other clubs are nervous!

As wellsy just said, I have no idea how you improve on the M2 - especially significantly enough to make people switch to the new version.

That was a very quick switch to the new Milled Grind wedges though!

As always, DJ is a total bad*ss and that's a great looking setup.

You don't think it will be difficult to market a new driver to the public if PGA players decide to keep playing the older model?

The process might go smoother than you think.  I've always been amazed at how quickly the big time TM staffers switch to the new product.  Seems like DJ, Sergio, Rose, and others switch week one.  I'm not sure what they are getting paid to do so, but clearly there is an incentive to switch (other than 7 more yards obviously).

M2 is an interesting swap.  Love the UDI with Hazrdous look.  Both DJ and Rosey switched to the new wedges.  Did he switch to the softer insert in his putter?

I agree with you that a lot of the Taylormade staff will switch. But what about Woods and McIlroy and so many others who aren't under contract with Taylormade but playing M2? I don't really care either way, I just think it will be interesting.

We don't yet know that true specs of the new M2, but I'm guessing they came out with the "D" model as a backup plan in case people don't think the new M2 is much of an improvement. D stands for "distraction" I think, haha

I have a tour issue speeder evolution 661 6.2 tour spec in the black charcoal color. Anyone know what would be the difference in specs between my 661 6.2 tour spec and his 661 2.0 tour spec?

The difference is that they painted his shaft with that logo and who the hell knows what it really is.

Your recollection is correct. He played an M2 at Riviera, but was back to the M1 not long after. He also played PSi Tour iron at Riviera. Like Justin Rose, it seems like DJ makes sure everything gets in the bag at least once before he settles back to what he likes.

Can we talk about the KBS wedge shafts he has in his wedges?!

To my knowledge that's a big change from the heavier shafts he had in wedges the previous year.
