I have only ever tried the e6 and the e5. I fell in love with the e5 and its Urethane cover. I was able to hit some beautiful approach shots and watch them hit, spin back a little and stop. For a value ball I have never seen a ball dance like the e5.

It is cold and snowy where I am so I won't be able to try out the new e6 line. Does the 3 piece change to the e6 soft and speed improve the stopping ability on approach shots for those who have played them well?

I was toying around with the B330RXS after watching some youtube videos but I tend to hook the ball and on my off days driving the e5 would keep me in play where other balls have not. I am concerned that maybe the B330 line woldn't save my butt.

Even though Bridgestone sent me a sleeve of the e6 soft I added to my already large stock pike of the 2015 model last night so I won't have a need to switch for sometime.

I'm confused.  What is the difference in the new Bridgestone e6 Soft and the existing Bridgestone Extra Soft?

Has anyone had a chance to play with these yet? I was able to put with the soft and find to roll true. Just waiting to get out and play with these.

Won't be buying these any time soon. $40/dz. plus 13% tax here in Canada. Going to stick with Wilson 50s for $30/DDz.
Bag set-up currently under construction..............again.............help?!

Agree, a bit disappointed on the Canadian price point. The extra $5 from the previous generation may be a deal breaker for me.

To me, Bridgestone did themselves a disservice by making two different e6 golf balls. They should have left the e6 alone and made another line of balls with a new name. What will we have next, a third e6 line? They just lost me as a customer.

Then just find the now older model e6 (2015) and play it as long as you can.

I played 9 holes in the wind today with the E-6 Soft. My first time out this year  and was very windy! Seemed to spin more like the e5 and checked up nice chipping and rolled true when putting. Felt very soft of irons and woods. I prefer a little more harder ball and will try the speed next time out.

Hmmmh...being a pro review, i would have expected the reviewer to drop a picture of the driver/long dispersion off a launch monitor to back up the claim of longer off the long sticks (if its there, its not showing up on my work browser). Just sayin.

Now, i did not know the e6 speed claim of 9 yards longer so thats news to me...but I definitely did not see that in my comparison on the holes I played. Not against Bridgestones own 2016 Tour B330 ball. Once I get my Sub Zero sorted out, I'll try it again - head to head with the 2015 e6 instead. The 15e6 is a very, very good ball - flies lower for sure but is a softer ball (felt) at impact with the driver. e6 speed is between 15e6 and B330 off the driver space, a little harder.

Right now, unless the couple of yards is worth the $$$ to anyone, I would pick up the 15e6s instead. If you SS is > 105, B330 is for you (I think this ball has anti side spin tech as well...well, at least its dispersion is very close to the 15e6 after many rounds on the same course based on my observations).

Yeah, that's what I noticed too. Matt could have posted pictures and actual numbers. He even said the spin compared to his premium golf ball is 10% less with the E6. Again, numbers could have been helpful.

I have typically played the e6.  Just purchased the e6 soft, and seems very similar to the prior year's e6.  Best value in golf for a ball IMO.

I agree with you about the e6 being one of the best values out there. I'm definitely curious about the two new models and how they'll compare with the new Srixon Q Star Tour with the the Urethane cover at a similar price.

They had a buy one get one free box of the e6's and I read they would be good for lower temperature golfing. I didn't notice any gain in distance vs my prov1's but they sure went straight. Was nearly impossible to work the ball around and had little to no spin. Very tough to control around the greens but interesting ball indeed.

Anyone have any comparison with the e6 Speed sidespin - which is very low, and any of the new B series? I'd prefer urethane, because the e6 Speed I was playing did not hold greens like the 330 I have been playing.

I'm not surprised by that for the 330. It's great on the green. But I'd really love a ball that had that hold and also that little sidespin. Thoughts?

I think the best ball to compare it to is the RX model. I used the 2016 edition and it is pretty darn straight off the tee.
Clubs gripped with Pure DTX Midsize, Ball played is Q Star yellow(90%), Bridgestone B330 RX yellow (5%), Callaway Chrome Soft Truvis (5%)
Wilson Staff D100, 10.5* loft, UST Mamiya Chrome S-Flex, JumboMax Large
Srixon Z 355 15* Fairway
Cobra Baffler XL 18* Fairway
Cobra Baffler XL Irons 5-PW Lite Flex
Scratch 1018 50* wedge SS grind
Nike Engage Toe Sweep 54*
Taylormade ATV 64* AKA the 'Break Glass in case of emergency' club :D

Seemore FGP Bronze Putter, Left-Handed, 35.5"

Thanks for looking into my bag!(:
