Looks like the Soft is the new e6 and the speed will essentially replace the e7 with the e5 simply being dropped. Makes sense given the the e5/e7 have been big flops from a sales standpoint since basically their initial release.

Looking forward to trying these at some point.  Glad they got rid of the arrow alignment aid.

OR, the soft sits in between the e5 and e6, and the speed sits between the e6 and e7.  If you happen to love the current version of the e6, you might want to stock up?

IT would be interesting to get the skinny on just exactly how the new balls compare to the older ones.  It will also be interesting to compare the Speed to the NXT Tour.
On Sundays, I used to play hickory

They really go after the "longer & straighter" crowd at the high-end of the surlyn price point. When I play the e6 I do generally see a straighter ball flight, perhaps due to the forgiveness of low spin. However my short game is the only thing that keeps me below 90, so I really need drop-and-stop from shorter shots (short irons / wedges / pitching / chipping). I can't seem to get that from my short game with surlyn balls.

Once you figure out how to play any ball with how your game is you can adjust to it.......I shoot in the low 80's and was lucky enough to have the round of my life (74) to this point using a DSG only model the Callaway Diablo Tour even with it not feeling good off all clubs to me like the e6.

For the next golfing season my plan is to use the e6 & go from there.

I can see why. I hated the E5. It spun like a mofo off the driver, and felt like it barely spun more around the green than an e6. It was firm as all hell. Just overall a ball I disliked.

Looks like the dimple in dimple are gonzo.....delta dimples, ??.....they look like the flat bottom dimples Wilson used years ago with the c25, d25,tx4....etc

I wander if the b330 series will stick with dimple I dimple or go to the delta dawn, I mean dimples too

delta dimple looks a lot like Callaway Hex dimples

It's an optical illusion....focus on the dimple itself or inner part of the dimple, they are round.....sometimes when you look at the ridges they appear to look hex like.....saw the same thing with the Costco ball everyone is talking about.

I agree. I've played the Supersoft for the past 2 seasons shooting a best of 75 with it.

Last Sunday I played the Srixon Soft Feel for the first time and shot a personal best 3 over 74.

I still crack up at the guys shooting 90+ trying to play a Urethane ball.

Definitely looking to try the New E6 line. The E6 Soft sounds like it will be a great ball. Will also try the E6 Speed just to see if it is a player to. Also being in a cold climate area I will have to be patient and try them in Florida in March. But definitely interested none the less.

Being a single cap, the e6 definitely helped improved my game. The pre2015 e6 was a higher flyer, the 2015 e6 offered much better, lower flight & I will pick up a box to see how the 2017 e6 flies. Durability was also good in both balls, not legendary XV but much better than say, a Callaway ball which tend to skin flake or crack, from what I have seen,

Will be very interested in this 2017 delta dimple pattern and it seems like each gen, the dimple are different and thus far improvement. The pre-2015 launched a tad too high but the 2015 was just right. Definitely the e6 are softer balls than say, the XV (which I play now and then and before the 2015 e6, was my stock ball). XV much louder off my Ping while the e6 was a little muted but really feel like I compress the hell out of the ball off my Ping,108 SS.

I am thinking the e6 speed is the ball.

As a side comment, those who say the e6 does not hold green or need the hop and stop, just go get the proV1. the ball is not going to be your saviour - you have to learn to play the wedges better and control the ball, that chilli ball is not the ball, its your swing. GL with it.

Looking forward to trying these - they sound like just what I need. I tend to play a lot of chip and runs around the green as well so figure that the attributes of this ball (long and straight) might do more for me than having hop and stop capabilities on the odd occasion I need that sort of shot.

Looking forward to trying these - they sound like just what I need. I tend to play a lot of chip and runs around the green as well so figure that the attributes of this ball (long and straight) might do more for me than having hop and stop capabilities on the odd occasion I need that sort of shot.

I do the same, thinking the e6 soft will be for me but for the hell of it may try both

e6s have never ever been the OLD top flite rock hard balls. Personally & imho, if you are high handicapper, those top flights will do you wonders for its distance and roll more than a proV1. My 30+ cap friend and I use to play a lot and his top flites ball would fly straight and GET SUM even though it was a crappy cruise missile shot he hits with his regular flex 1 hybrid. He now plays the e6 & his slice is manageable now abliet the e6 is shorter than the Top Flites...lol.

I'll see if Roger Dunn has any 2017 in stock as I am in the West Coast. Not moving my 3 boxes of 2015 e6s yet....

I agree. I've played the Supersoft for the past 2 seasons shooting a best of 75 with it.

Last Sunday I played the Srixon Soft Feel for the first time and shot a personal best 3 over 74.

I still crack up at the guys shooting 90+ trying to play a Urethane ball.

Well, I do more than try... My ball striking is inconsistent, so I don't hit enough greens to break 80. What little practice time I get is spent almost exclusively on short game. When I need to control distance near the green I seem to have better luck hitting spinny checking shots compared to high trajectory. Perhaps the e6 soft will get me there! ....that is once I burn thru my 4 dozen Kirklands hahaha (every thread is required to mention that ball now)

I just picked up 4 dozen of the E6 Soft and will be hoping to play them a little before I hit Florida for the month of March. Really excited about this ball.
