It is in the bag right now and I am hitting the best drives of my life.

Forgiveness is par to the 580xd.
Distance seems to be AWSOME.
Throws knucle balls with low spin for me.
Sound doesnt compare to the crack of a Tity or that awesome sound from a 510tp. But it does sound like a titanium head more than the composite heads.

What I love about this driver is the looks and the performance. I get incredible confidence usin the 460cc head, and the size is hidden very well. I would play anything that performs the best and the Comp kicked the R7 tour head out.

Here is a comparison pick with the R7...

You talked me into this one and all I can say is thanks.

I just got my 8.5 and 9.5 tour Comps from Cleveland. I spent a good 2 hours at the range with the 8.5 and I am impressed. Really good looking for a giant head. Dead square if not a little open at address.

High bombs from any kind of a decent pass at the ball. I have 2 more on order with Diamana 73 x but there is a wait on those for the shafts. These came in with NV 65 x tipped 1" and I don't think I would change a thing.

I highly recommend this driver to anyone looking to enjoy driving the ball far and straight.

BTW, these 2 are tour dept heads and look identical to the retail comp. No txxxx serials and identical graphics.

Tes I hit this club yesterday and it does hit high bombs. It is amazing. Im going to tinker with the shaft before I make any kind of decision.

  :(   Well what can I say.....I think that my driver is set for 2005....I THINK I said....anyway after speaking at length with JOEY about drivers I decided to go with the Launcher 460 Comp and I can say that I am damn glad I did.....He suggested with my swing characteristics (SS 100-105 smooth tempo relatively low ball hitter) that I go with a Graphite Design CP02 X flex shaft...boy was he dead on the money....I have never hit a driver with such an awesome trajectory.  This baby just penetrates through the air and goes a mile.  My first round with it I averaged 296 off of the tee and hit 77% of the fairways.  Now this is only 18 holes but man this driver is HOT!!!!  The feel is incredible and the sound even better.  No loud tink or anything like that just solid....If you haven't tried this driver yet....do it...just like Starsky and Hutch...do it...also be sure to give JOEY a call when you decide to junk the shaft that you got with it he is AWESOME!!!! :help:  :good:  :yess:  :beach:  :rtfm:

Cant say enough good things about this driver. I have hit most of them and the cream raises to the top. Looks of a players club but it is 460cc. The head lays down square. Not closed like a lot of the retail heads.

Feel and sound isn't the best of the bunch. I don't think the driver has a great sound. More of a loud ping than a crack of thud like some of the tour or TP heads from Taylor Made. And cant compete w/ a older Titleist head for sound.

Where this head is far better for me than the others is pure distance and forgiveness. What comes after those assets is CONFIDENCE! I feel real good pulling this diver out. I know it will go straight. The distance is unbelievable. Hot as hell. I have owned all the fancy Tour versions of Taylor Made and many other popular driver heads and I cant find anything better for me than this one.

I fully agree with this statement and for the first time since the mid-nineties - the Cally GBB Ruger titanium revolution at that time - I step up on the tee full of confidence with the big gun.
All You have to do is swing - and watch it fly......
Best retail driver (and tour included for that matter) for a weekend hack like me.

couldnt agree more this driver is just the best thing to happen to golf since the titanium driver. its long its forgiving and when you stand at the tee with it you cant see your self hitting it bad. 10 out off 10 cleveland has out done its self with this driver.

I played with one on a weekend at a local golf resort. The most forgiving driver I've hit (the Ping G2 is close). The correct shaft is key.

Love this driver...Was out in AZ in early Feb and tested this driver vs my R7.  Lower spin, higher launch =15 yards and very forgiving.  Put a Fuji Zcom in and have been super happy with it.

Here is the rest of my bag
13 Degree V-Steel with Fuji Zcom
16.5 bent to 17 with Fuji Tour Release
21 Sonartec MD with Fuji Banzai
Mizuno MP 30 4-W with Nippon Steel Shafts
Cleveland Black Pearl CG Wedges 54, 60
Titleist Futura

I made the comment yesterday after I posted a personal best even par 72, that someone was going to have to pry mine out of my cold dead hands. You have to swing badly not to hit it straight and long. Mine is a 10.5* with a Fujikura 857 Pro-Ti X at 46", and Winn Xcel RF,  carefully pimped to my spec's D9 by Stage1350.

IMO this is one of the best drivers ever made. I really like this club. My only problem with it is it lives up to its name and launches the ball too high for me. When hitting this thing into wind it goes absolutely nowhere. I know wind stops balls, but I would say it goes 10-30 yards less than my BB 454 into the wind. Other than that is an amazing club

Stupid easy to hit.  Extremely forgiving.  And yet, I still get some feedback as to how I'm hitting the club.

It does launch the ball very high, however.  With the NV and a 9.5 degree head it goes very high with if I put a cut spin on it.  I may tweak the shaft over the winter, but for now, couldn't be happier.

HELP, or opinion please.

I went ahead and got me a COMP 10.5, and I do like the head.

I do not like the shaft, ProLaunch 65 Regular shaft, I did not like the NV either.

My favorite driver shaft is a Fuji Tour Series 60 R...

How will this driver work with this shaft....or any other suggestions..

I almost always go with Reg shafts as my swing is a very smooth temp...my GHIN is 5.6

Tour R7 and R7 HT both bit the dust.

This is as good as it gets.  Long and straight.  As far as height and trajectory, the 9.5 Comp hits about the same as the R7 10.5 for me.

Liked the stock shaft, surprisingly good shaft.  Did not like the Pro-Launch, not enough feel for me.  Liked the NV-65 S, but settled on the Diamana 63 S as being best for my swing and tempo.

I have my 9.5 reg Comp in my bag right now and its the best driver I've ever hit. I've hit the Hogan which is easier to draw for me, the titleist, all recent taylormades, and the G2. The Cleveland Comp is still the best. I hit longer straighter drives and can work the ball quite well. Extremely forgiving on mis hits and while most dont I love the sound. I would recommend this driver to players of all handicaps based on forgiveness and workability.

Candidly, this driver disappointed me.  I have owned the retail and tour issue versions.  It looks great, but feels too light and hollow in the head.  Also, it is too penal on mishits low on the face and towards the toe.  It is nice on heel shots and high on the face.

Main upside is that the distance is huge.

IMO, I'd take the 460 Ti Launcher over the Comp.

Why can't I vote 10 stars??? :clapping:

This is by far the best driver I've ever hit.  I used to have a really weird ballflight that was low with low spin.  A buddy of mine talked me into getting one and all I can say is I'm glad he did.  This driver is amazing.  I've heard stories about people gaining 20-30 yards and always called BS.  But then it happened to me.  I can say that I'm carrying it about 20 yards farther and I have several witnesses that can back me up here.  The trajectory with the 569 is high and flat with enough spin to keep the ball airborn for awhile.  The Comp is a perfect 10.  Looks, feel, sound, performance, forgivness you name it.  This driver IS my "Holy Grail." :cheesy:  :cheesy:  :diablo:

I haven't been playing as much this year as I have in years past for numerous reasons... so i started looking for a driver to replace my 905T because i knew I would be needing forgiveness... After reading all the rave reviews I picked up a comp.  I went with a higher loft due to wanting maximum forgiveness.  I couldn't be happier... even with taking sometimes 3 weeks off between sessions the comp still gives me the same ball flight... long high and straight.  It's everything I could ever want in a driver in an off year.  Once I start playing more I might pick up a lower lofted head and throw in a real shaft and really start playing my game....

5 stars for sure

I have never been a Cleveland Fan, this driver changed that for me. I don't remember many drivers any easier to hit than this one. I guess if you hate long and straight, don't buy this, but if you do, get out and get one now.

I recently picked one up and I love it, longer than my G2 and a lot easier to work right to left. I have a question though for those that have one, i took the plasitic off the head and noticed that the top of the head when you look at it real close has tiny blemishes and scratches underneath the clearcoat. I guess what im trying to say is that when you look at it close it doesnt look at shiny as other drivers, just wondering if anyone else noticed that or it was just mine, If you look at the picture in the first post I think you can kind of see it compared to the top of the R7.

Maybe it's just me, but every reatil veriosn of this club I have seen this year is closed at address.  Took a couple to the range and had the hok monster along for the ride.  Maybe if I could find a square faced demo, I'd know if it's reallly as good as all the stories I've read.

nice driver, bombs and feels pretty good considering its comp and four sixty cc's. face if left to balance itself on grass seems square too me, unfortuantely the folks at golftec dont know how to fit for some reason and now i just smack my 10.5 high with plenty of backspin. Sound is better then titty's IMO, just how i feel about it. Very nice kinda thump but not quite that ft3 crazy dullness. Overall if I had a 8,5 it would be the best driver IMO. For some reason Taylors feel dead to me and titty is unforgiving. No bridgestones in COLORADO can anyone answer this? BTW the 905 R will be awsome and i want one when they come out

not the hottest driver I've hit this year, but not short by any means. I'll have to agree with JC.. it's stupid easy to hit long and very straight... Most forgiving driver of the year. I'm still swapping shafts between the comp460 and my FT-3 so see which one I like better.... the only thing keeping me on the ft-3 is the 2-3 mph ballspeed advantage and I've not even hiting the sweetspot.
