I remember seeing a video where Piercy says he's very particular about his clubs.  Hence the lead tape.

I was going to put some lead tape on my clubs but couldn't because Piercy has exhausted global supplies!

I think someone asked him in person once and he said he didn't like tip weights, so he slaps lead on instead. Seeing lots of cool putters in the galleries this morning, and this is def one of them.

Scott is definitely a feel player and tinkerer based on that lead tape. He had a damn good season last year and was in contention several times. Good player.

His iron play and putting were lights out yesterday. I'm actually surprised there isn't more lead on the putter.

Someone should check the water in Napa, because It probably has more lead in it than Flint right now.

This is what Phil looked like when he saw his clubs on the range:

I didn't know until this weekend that he played with a ten fingered grip. It also looked like he had CP2s. I could be wrong there. I thought also that the broadcasters said he went back to his original iron shafts after trying out something different in Singapore. Did he go back to these LZ, or was this what he had on Wednesday and he switched back to DG TI?
It's like he won't play a club unless it's got lead tape on it. A custom Circle T couldn't have had heavier weights installed?

He actually likes lead tape and probably thinks a club looks better with it on there.  Some guys don't want their clubs to look completely "clean" glossy and pretty
