Jetmech....I beat you this time. My driver....3 wood.....AND 3 hybrid are being shipped as we speak. Lol. Something about Mizuno woods just feels like they belong in my bag.

Not fair!!!!😂 Trust me, I'm not far behind you! I'll just be going with the driver for now. I'm going to try to make a trade with a local shop that has the driver. I want one with the 661x shaft. Even though it's not the real deal! Haha!

Will the 850 shaft adapters work in the 900?  Are they the same?

I was told by Mizuno that they are the exact same for the driver. The 3 wood just has different markings on it like +/- deg as apposed to actual loft numbers.

FYI the little label that says "Head China Shaft Vietnam" is the one I'm talking about nothing else.

I can see that Mizuno are really making a decent effort with their Drivers/Fairways in terms of tech and aesthetics, and they compliment the new JPX900 line of irons really well, but if they're going to make any inroads they really have to address this issue of their Custom shafts options........it's rubbish. I mean I'm sure that the Fuji Evo II range of shafts is very good, but it's not going to suit everyone. And to only offer 1 70g+ option (Fuji 757 Tour spec II) in the Fairways or Driver for that matter is....well.....half hearted looking at best and at worst entirely incompetent. How serious are they at wanting to sell a decent number of JPX900 Driver/Fairways I wonder?

Nice looking attempt to keep up with the big boys in the Driver/Fairway market but lack of custom options and fitting options could kill this range dead. Fair attempt 6/10.

This driver really has my attention, but there's nobody in the state that is going to carry them.  Even the PGA tour superstore isn't getting these.  If I buy it, it's going to be on the reviews I'm able to read on here.  I haven't seen many yet.  My next driver will either be this one, or the 917.  I called Golfsmith yesterday as well, and there 3 to 4 weeks out for delivery.

This is false. My local PGA SS has two of them. You can ask them to transfer one from another store if you want to try it. You won't be locked into buying it that way

Nope. Everyone knows the REAL DEAL shaft is made at Fujikura's Japan factory. Check the stickers on the shaft when you get your new $500 driver with the "real deal $400" shaft in it. When the sticker states "head in China shaft made in Vietnam" you know you're not getting the real shaft! There is literally no way an OEM can put a $400 shaft in a $500 driver unless it's a watered down made for shaft.

You do realize it doesn't actually cost Mizuno $400 for that shaft right? The markup on high end shafts is very high. Wholesale on many high end shafts I would say is close to 50% retail. Then you take into account that Mizuno is probably paying even less because they are buying in bulk. Still plenty of profit to be made on that driver

I just called Fujikura directly and asked if the shaft that Mizuno offers in the 900 line is made in Japan. They confirmed that it is the real deal made in Japan shaft. So enough about the "watered down made for" crap. Mizuno is not playing around this year!

My driver came in yesterday. I love the head size. I only had a chance to hit on the range and can say that I am extremely relieved. Just based on my previous Mizuno woods and the reviews on here, I went all in without even swinging a club. Driver,3 wood,3 hybrid and 4 hybrid now.

The driver didn't disappoint. Hopefully the other woods will be as equal or better

Good to hear TM! I'm going to get my head tomorrow. The guy I'm going to get it from is going to order me one with the 661x shaft but I have a GP 6x all tipped and gripped ready to go so I'll be hitting it Tuesday! Can't wait!!!

Anxious to try this one. I had both the 850 and 2015 EZ and just couldn't get them dialed in.

I haven't hit the 850 in awhile so it is hard for me to compare the two 100%. But based on a memory that is getting questionable every day,I think the 900 is a little louder. But not a bad loud.  The MP650 is still the champ in the soft and quiet departments.  The 900 is definitely longer than the 850. What I am excited the most about this driver is the different adjustments actually produced different results.  I tend to hit an out to in swing the most causing my balls to go high fade to slice at first. I then settle in with my swing to correct this around hole 3 or 4. With the Mizuno set on 9.5U, I has hitting a nice baby draw almost every time. I switched it to 10.5 and got a higher flight that was a fade. I went back down to the 9.5U and the draw came back.

I moved the two weights to the low spin position and my balls started dropping from the sky. I moved it to the high spin and produced a way better result. I then started getting tired ( two large buckets) so I stopped hitting knowing that my swing would be too inconsistent to judge a driver by.

Can't wait to the first round to truly be able to tell how it plays.

Great to hear! I'm hoping it's longer and straighter than the 850 was for me. I was very inconsistent with the 850. Sometimes it would go forever and others, even tough I thought I hit it the same, it seemed to go nowhere. I'll find out tomorrow. No range time, just straight to the course!

Mine arrived this afternoon. I am impressed after hitting about 25 balls at my range. The Evo II 569 shaft is very nice. Sounds good, looks good and is a bit longer than the Titleist 915 D2 I've been playing; surprisingly forgiving too. I believe Mizuno has a winner here!

I am disappointed in the head-cover though :bad:

I wanted to say something about the head covers but didn't want to sound like I was crazy but what the hell?  They are cheap plastic feeling covers.  What were they thinking?  Lol   Leather would have been great.  Actually this is the first wood set that I will buy a head cover set somewhere else.

My 3 wood and 3 hybrid came in today. The hybrid has the Fujikura shaft that is blue. It looks stunning.

Give us a range report would ya? The JPX 900 Driver is now top dog in my bag. If the 3 wood is good too I may have to spring for one; though it'll be hard pressed to beat out my 915F.

So the hybrid shaft is not the real deal? Driver and woods are though.
