Looks like Srixon will be releasing a new ball. My guess is it aims to compete in the Chrome Soft, Project A, Duo U space. They only mention white but hope they offer it in yellow.

Sounds like the AD333 range we get in UK. AD333 is very long but jumpy off the short irons and putter. Sells by the million. AD333 Tour is a superb ball. Soft but not squashy like the Cally balls and great around the greens.

The Srixon Q-Star Tour for the US market is likely nothing more than a rebadged Srixon AD333 Tour ball that has been easily available for the last two years (Amazon or Ebay). Srixon also has a non US ball called the UltiSoft that is probably the next version of the Soft Feel for the US market..

Rebirth of the Trispeed Tour?
The Trispeed Tour did not have a urethane cover as the new Q-Star Tour will in the USA (AD333 Tour in other markets).
The Trispeed tour had a surlyn (ionomer) cover.

The AD333 Tour is a great ball. For me it is slightly softer than the Z-Star but offers all of the same attributes regarding spin, distance and durability for half the price. Often have special offers where you can get two boxes of 12 for £30 which makes it an absolute bargain.

Trispeed was a great ball. So was the AD333. Both great price points and soft feeling balls with some green side spin. You Tube has some reviews on the AD333 spin from Europe. Sounds like a ball I would game, for the right price.

As already noted the new QStar Tour will be a 3 piece urethane ball. That said Bridgestone already offers a two piece urethane ball, the E5. So it can be done.

Correct. The AD333 Tour was basically the 2nd gen, spin skin update to the ZStar SL, unfortunately was only released in Europe. As you stated, this QStar Tour looks to be a rebadging of the AD333 Tour for the North American market.

I believe that Srixon just released their update to the Soft Feel range.  I think that here in NA it will remain Soft Feel not Ultisoft.  Agree that the Q-STAR Tour will be just like the AD 333 Tour in the UK.

I used to play the Z-STAR SL a lot before moving to the regular Z-STAR, and after I couldn't get the SL's anymore.  Loved that ball! SL, AD333 Tour, Q-STAR Tour essentially the same except the SL never got the spin skin treatment.  I think that Srixon balls do very well in the UK, especially the AD 333 range, it has been huge for a number of years.  Maybe the best seller as far as 2 piece balls go.  Hence, it was easy marketing for them to keep the moniker and add a tour version there.  Years ago after Srixon dropped the AD range and brought on the Q instead, it has built up a nice reputation, and done pretty well under that moniker.  Obviously well enough for them to now release a tour version.

Should be nice!

Not to make you jealous but I've still got a couple sleeves of the SL in my bag from when I stocked up with a few dozen when they were on closeout. I generally pull them out when things aren't going quite right and I want that soft feeling off the club to start feeling comfortable again.

Lucky you!  Ha, Ha, but here shortly we will be able to get the SL again under a different name and with the Spin Skin.  I assume they will have a decent price point, probably 10 bucks less per dozen than the Z STAR and XV.  So I guess that would put it mid 30's huh?  I thought I had stocked up on those SL's a couple of years ago, I somehow ended up playing through them.  I think I may have one or two in my side pocket that have been played before.

Not going to happen since $25/dozen is the price of the 2-piece surlyn QStar. If the UK prices are any indication, the QStar Tour should start around $35-$40/dozen here in the states.

Q star tour will be $35 to compete with Project A. I hope they do better than 16. tried z, z iv and q star and while they were good, it wasn't as good as others.
