So I just got the new staff stand bag after having the previous version for 2 years.

Big improvement IMO.....The overall fit and finish is second to none and the bag is absolutely gorgeous!
  • Heat seemed zippers..Nice
  • Magnetic closer on center valuables pouch.
  • Good compromise on size and weight with my old bag was heavy in comparison.
  • The rotating base is improved.  The previous model would allow the grips of the clubs to be "caught" in between the rotating base and bottom of the bag "cylinder" (for a lack of a better word)  They have added tab where this use to occur and it seems so far to have negated the issue.
  • The legs do not "splay" out as much....Meaning that there will be reduced creep on slippery floors in the stand position... Another pet peeve, I have tile floors where store my bag...never could put it in the stand position as eventually the legs would over rotate.
  • I have no problem with the strap system...Very comfortable with a full load.  Subtle touches to the underside keep them in place ...The butt pad also has a design that also acts as a grip.  The bag stays very centered while walking with the weight nice and evenly distributed.
  • The way the shoulder straps attached to the bag had changed from the standard affair to a quick release style that can pivot....If they hold up, and I suspect they will unless your constantly clipping/unclipping the strap they will also be a nice edition.
Although I am only 9 holes in overall Im very please with the purchase ... It is pricy but a definite upgrade on the previous model.

Any insight on how well it would sit on a Clickgear?
thanks...

Ive always looked at a Clickgear but never purchased one...To say I can comment on whether it fits would be disingenuous.  I can say it's very similar to a standard stand bag....Just a touch larger but not as large as a 14-way stand bag.

I have to say it one more time too....The fit and finish of this bag is well....awesome!

I saw pictures of the new stand bags, and they are quite a bit lighter than the 2016 lightweight stand bags. The 2016 lightweight stand bag weighs as much as the lightweight stand bag. I have the 2016 lw stand bag, and it is too heavy for me to carry I can only walk with it if I use a push cart.

That said, the older models of the Lightweight Stand Bag are very nice push-cart bags. Extremely roomy and well thought out in terms of pocket placement and the way the dividers work IMO. I'm fine carrying mine for nine holes once in a blue moon but yeah I'd use something lighter if I didn't push-cart it 99% of the time.
That is exactly the way I use mine. Works great on my Bag Boy Quad XL, wit a max of 9 hole carry.

Yep...Use mine with my Black/Red Clic Gear.  I really want to get a new Titleist 2017 bag in a different colorway, but i will then have to get a new push cart and head covers, so all my stuff matches.

My Stand Staff Bag fits just perfect on the ClicGear 3.5.  Now my 2014 Titleist StaDry bag doens't sit as well on it due to the material Titleist used for the bottom.  I have the Clic Gear booster, which helps the bag sit about 2 inches higher on the bag pedestal and takes away the tire rub i was getting on the bottom of the StaDry bag.

This is actually what the bag looks like.  This is an old picture of mine i posted on Golfwrx about 3 years ago.  I don't really use the bag much anymore, but i still have it and it's great.

The Titleist website doesn't have pics if the new bags up yet... BUT if you open the PDF that is available "view full 2017 accessories catalog" it shows all of the new bags.  Put a smile on your face because the new 4UP does have a 4-way top!

I just got a Stadry 4up and it is indeed a 3 way top.  I love the bag though - it's very light but seems well built, and a round in the rain proved I think really does stay dry.  My only dislike is it doesn't have a water bottle pocket, but that's not a big deal as I can always keep one in one of the larger pockets.

To be clear for those interested in these new Titleist bags... the 2017 4UP has a 4-way top and the StaDry 4UP has a 3-way top.  Completely different golf bags.

Has anyone had any issues with the Players 14 bag, and the straps squeaking all the time? Absolutely love the bag, but these straps are doing my head in! Everyone can hear me coming!

Love the black Stadry 4up.  Which color did you get?  do you ride or walk mostly?  i almost always ride but i'm intrigued by the 4up..if i were a walker this would be my bag, but wondering how this bag performs on a cart, particularly ease of getting clubs out of the 3 way divider.  any feedback?

Players 4 stand bag is awesome. Slightly more modern looking than bags from the past few years. Nice wide bottom section for wedges, and I like that the middle 2 compartments are fully separated, for some reason that is not as common as it should be.

I just picked up the 2017 4up stadry and it's awesome. Didn't think I would like a 3 way but it works. I also still have my mizuno comp bag.

Thanks for the pic.  Really tempted by this in the grey/blue colorway.  I think it may be between this and the SM 3.5 LS

I got the Navy/Lime color.  I end up riding a lot more than walking, as most of the courses I play aren't very walkable, but the bag works just fine on a cart.  I've never had a true cart bag and always have used smaller, lightweight bags, and have never seen why anyone would need anything else.  Despite the size, I keep a couple alignment sticks and an Orange Whip in the bag except when I'm walking, and it seems to have plenty of room.

Agree on the middle divider...that is the only thing I'd change/add on my '17 Ping 4-Series.

I checked out the Players 4 last week at PGATSS.  It is almost the perfect stand bag, but they missed the mark in one area.  The side ball pocket and water bottle pocket basically share the same area.  The Jones Utility has this stupid design as well.  I hated it in the Jones and imagine I would hate it in the Titleist too (admittedly I didn't load the bag up with balls and a water bottle to test it).  By basically overlapping the ball and bottle pocket, it makes it tough to get a new ball out while walking with a water bottle in the bag.  The Ping has a dedicated water bottle pocket and a dedicated ball pocket with no overlap between the two.  Perfect design.

I've been on a quest to find the perfect stand bag, and I thought the Titleist might be it...close...but not quite there yet.

To add to the 2017 4up bag, I don't get any leg droop that I've seen in the 2016 models. Not sure if it's because they fixed it, or the leg droop only happened to some bags.

One caution for anyone considering the Stadry 4up is to check that both straps are with the bag.  Per Titleist, the bag is suppose to come with the double straps (attached) and a single strap included if you want to switch.  However, they seem to be having some QA problems in making this happen.  I ordered the bag through my club and it came with only the double straps.  It took numerous calls from our golf shop manager to Titleist to try and get the strap, and Titleist's only solution was to ship out a whole new bag and have us return the old one.  But when the new bag arrived, it too was missing the single strap.  Still more calls later, someone at Titleist figured out they had a single strap on their desk and would just ship that.  Of course it arrived in the wrong color!   Lot's of hassle for such a simple thing.

Saw some of the '17 bags yesterday (except for the StaDrys), the Players 4 in black stood out to me.  Love the black fabric they are using, almost has a charcoal look to it.  Liked the convertible strap and the smaller size of this bag.  This bag or the 4 Up in black would be my choices out of the lineup.

Had the new players 5 Sta Dry for about a month. Great bag but where the straps buckle into the bag it has started squeaking like crazy during every step. So I'm getting a refund from where I bought it. It's to bad cause I really liked it! Not sure I want to order another one, think I might go Sun Mountain H2N0 for a waterproof bag.

So now that you have had the for a bit now how are you liking it still? And squeaking on the bag straps when walking?

I've got a 2015 lightweight stand bag and love it. Disappointed in the 2016 because it had one less pocket. I really wanted to like the 2017 but it has one less pocket than the 2015!  I mean really?!  Very disappointed. I guess I'll have to go with a 2016 which are now harder to find.

Well I returned my 5-Up bag. Great looking bag and really well put together but the middle slots where I put the irons were too tight for my liking. Ordered the Sun Mountain XCR with the 11" top.
