The "eye brows" on the hybrid crown need to be blacked out, otherwise I like the shape and concept. Will be curious to give those and whatever FWs they come out with. The irons look pretty good at address too. Thanks for the pictures, esp the address positions.

Pretty nice looking iron ... Reminds me a lot of the X-14 Pro Series with maybe a touch more offset.  But ... what is up with the super lightweight shafts?  I've been in DG's forever and the sub 100 gram trend is interesting.

Just what you would expect from Callaway in the X series, very similar to what they have been doing for the last 10 years or so.  Interesting to see they brought the Steelhead name back.  Solid easy to hit clubs for the good to average player.

No surprises here.

Would never suit my game, but I'm impressed with the initial view at address. For a GI, the offset is not that overwhelming. If they made a "Pro" version they could have potential for long irons.

My thoughts exactly although the new tech in the face cup sounds interesting.  I love the badge - it's updated, but takes on the same shape as the old Steehead irons.  Nostalgia!

Not for me but probably great for the players they suit.

Does anybody know what >= 95 gram graphite options will be available?  I can't find anything on their web site (or the few other places I looked).

Damn elbow issues mean my steel shaft days are done.

Not overly excited about these but am very curious to see if they bring the Steelhead name back for Fairway woods too and what they come up with for those!

Probably only steel fibers and recoils. Steelfibers will definitely be an upcharge but they could possibly offer recoils at no charge

Steelfibers can be a bit boardy if you're not careful.  A touch too stiff to my liking, personally.

Looks like a simple rebadge plus a few tiny new tidbits here and there. Per usual, probably not going to produce much better results than the products they replace. The head on the hybrid looks a bit busy for me. Might be distracting at address for some.

The Irons are beautiful, classic, yet modern. Awesome looking club. The hybrids, on the other hand, look like old Nikent, if you made Nikent look cheaper. STOP WITH THE CROWN MARKINGS, EVERYONE. Bridgestone JGR, Callaway, The R1 (old, but it still stands) just stop.

Have to talk to my Rep, I don't think they are full bore thru, maybe just a mini bore from the bottom to free up weight to redistribute.  Will see this week when I see my Rep.

I still have an original Steelhead 5 wood with factory Prolite lying around somewhere....

Shot my lowest round ever to this day with X-14 pro series way back in the day...  If these came out in a pro series model, I would definitely give them a try!

It's pretty much a bore-thru, just updated.  Just a way to save weight overall.

Quote

A bore-thru hosel (where the shaft runs through the head to the sole) was a huge feature of the original design and Callaway have come up with a redesign for the new model. They say a new modern “Hollow Bore Thru” removes ineffective weight from the hosel allowing their engineers to reposition mass to strategic areas of the head to increase MOI for more forgiveness.

How long for a 2i version to pop up in Stenson or Philly's bag? Seems like the type of club that would absolutely interest two of Callaways top tour players.

Even just doing it as a 3i driving iron option would be awesome.

These look really good, X-14 Pro Series were the best iron I have played. Hopefully Callaway releases a Pro series version of these bad boys.
