I'm sorry, but WTF Costco? Kisigs in store in Michigan, but not in Phoenix? I (and half of Canada's retired population who all winter here) am going to play prob 10 rounds of golf between now and thanksgiving. Have fun shoveling your driveway to go buy balls you can't use for 6 months.

They only put them into brand new stores.  The location of those brand new stores was irrelevant.  if all they cared about was sales, they wouldn't have put them into any stores at all.  They sold out in less than 2 days online.  Yet, based on photos, it appears that they are selling much slower in the stores.  They could have easily absorbed the the in store sales by selling them online only.  But, they wanted to attract people to their new locations.

Yep, we here got a new store so they have some K-sig's for sale.  Luckily they opened up in October so I didn't have to shovel out to get me a couple of boxes and yeah it would have been nice to try them out before Spring but it's not that big of deal to wait til then to give them a try!  :)

In the local store today and they have about a pallet full of them.  I thought they were out cause they weren't where used to be but I found them in an end of an isle and standing there and a lady who worked there said "do you know about these golf balls?".  I said I have heard about them but never hit them and she said that was their second order of them and that folks from all over were coming up to this store to buy them.  :)

Did you buy 2 more dbl dzn? I know you said you haven't hit them, but I know I would buy more just because of how limited these are.

Haha, actually I didn't!  Since I haven't hit them yet and can't til Spring, I have enough to try out and I don't want too many in case they don't work for me.  I don't want to get stuck with too many.  Plus I still have like 8-9 dozen Chrome Soft's and 6 dozen Nike RZN Tour Plat's.  :)

For those of you who have played with these already, I'd like to hear your take, especially if you played with the previous batch from last year. I'm new to KSigs, so I can't speak to how these compare to the originals. But, I've played a few rounds with these new ones and idk... It's just super super spinney and I'm getting a lot of shots just ballooning up instead of following a true arch. Slices gear right like crazy. I'm not a low handicapper by any means, and I've learned my lessons playing and losing Pro V1s, but these feel way more unwieldy than even Pro V's. Idk, maybe I've just been playing like s**t for the last few rounds, but I'm not super impressed by these. Anybody else feel the same way?

<sigh> This was covered earlier in this thread. The packaging changed for this most recent release of the ball. The ball itself did not change. It is still the same 4 piece urethane covered 360 dimple ball with the same side stamp that Costco has sold since October of 2016. If the ball itself had changed in any way it would have been listed differently on the USGA conforming ball list. It has not. If that is not enough somebody here at WRX cut the ball open again and it is the same as before. Pictures are in this thread. Relax. You got the same ball as everybody else did. Costco (Kirkland) does have other balls listed on the USGA conforming ball list but none of them have made it to retail. Yet.

150 rounds in 24 months is weak...I get 150 rounds yearly no problem..."THESE COSTCO BALLS", they're called the K-Sig around these parts, have only been out for a little over a year, so your first 12 months I can understand you having no luck in spotting one...But when you do spot one, magic!!!!

Well I've played nearly 250 rounds since the KIRKLAND Signature ball first hit the scene. Yet to see one. Haven't seen a Snell or an MG ball either. I have seen a Cut once and Vice 3-4 times.

And by "seen" I mean seen being played or found lying in the rough or anywhere else I might encounter it.

At a lot of places, such as my club, any ball that doesn't say "Titleist", "Callaway" or "Bridgestone" on it is going to be pretty few and far between. The public courses in my area seem to have a lot of Noodle and Wilson, the occasional Maxfli or Top Flite and also plenty of Titleist and Callaway, seldom Bridgestone.

My point being, how often you see what ball depends almost entirely on the particular courses you play and who you regularly play with.

It's the exact same ball Sir.

If and when some other version of the K-Sig actually goes on sale, you're not going to need to ask "Is it the same ball". There will immediately be 100's of posts here and one or more front-page writeups on GolfWRX about it, not to mention other sites.

I've played over 150 rounds the past 24 months.  I work at a big club with 900 golfing members, and I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE PLAYING THESE COSTCO BALLS.

Looking forward to finding one.  Or next time I need two gallons of mayo, I'll swing by Costco.

Right or wrong, it's easy to understand the dedicated enthusiasm for a product... but I find it much harder to fathom the devoted vitriol.
Why bother?  No one is being enriched from the experience.

What is the percentage of "vitriol" in this thread over the past six months? How many of the last 1,000 posts have said anything negative about the quality or performance of the K-Sig ball? Ten? Maybe twenty or thirty? A couple percent?

There is more disparagement of imaginary "vitriol" than actual disparagement of the K-Sig ball, as far as I can see.

It's one thing to be a big, big, big fan of a product. It's quite another to feel obliged to make up imaginary attacks on your favored product just so you can defend it.

Was does percentage have to do with either the existence or persistence of it? That is what I find hard to understand.... it seems like such a waste of time that benefits no one. After 373 pages... it would seem much easier to simply let it go regardless of the percentages.

To clear the record of where I personally stand on the Ksigs. I think they are fine but not my favorite ball... I don't even use them. I did try a dozen but I can find others more readily available and just as good (if not better) for just a bit more so no big deal to me.

Then let it go and quit complaining about the (mostly non-existent) complaints.
