as for betti, the FIT face is incredibly soft, but over time I felt that was a negative for me. Putting a premium ball with an FIT face was like hitting a marshmallow, I could barely feel it and had poor distance control. I love the way bettis look, but the ones that are visually appealing to me dont fit my stroke

And besides all that, the guys at Bettinardi like Bob, Sam, Nick and Keith are all awesome to talk to and deal with.

Ho-ney-moon Pe-ri-od /ˈhənēˌmo͞on ˈpirēəd/
1. an initial period of bliss, harmony, and/or goodwill occurring at the beginning of a new relationship
2. [GOLF] an unspecified amount of time immediately following a new equipment acquisition (typically associated with clubs, specifically putters) during which the equipment seemingly can do no wrong, and is perceived to be responsible for lowering scores or improving performance by a significant amount.
*RJB honeycomb skeptic here*
FWIW, my favorite Cameron releases were classic lines milled/produced by Bettinardi. Both guys produce top-notch quality products, but honestly I like the fact that RJB keeps it domestic.

I commend your wife and kids.....they can stay in Central Indiana.....you on the other hand ! Only kidding. Where do you play in the Indy area ? I play 6 or 7 times a week and have never seen anyone roll a Bettinardi.....how come if they are so good ?

That's what I'm talking about....real putters and great covers....Scotty all the way. Thanks TNT
Posted 23 September 2016 - 07:41 AM
The biggest difference with both is actually grip (SuperStroke changes everything). I took the head off of my Xcelerator (big bee size) and had it dark anodized, then paint-filled it purple and black - gave me something to do while watching The Masters on the app from cold Indiana and gave me a little extra affection for my putter when I bring it to the green.
The 2 most important finds for me with each putter is that even great putters fail when you don't have the right shaft length, and grip (again, SuperStroke) can play a huge role in making a well-engineered head find the ball in the right place and roll it well every time.
