Long time Scotty user made the switch this summer.  Queen bee 6 and I'm in love!  Great craftsmanship in putters.  The way the new Scotty's  are looking it's like they're a cheap knockoff of their own brand.

I switched from betti to scotty, but there's no real allegiance, the del mar shape just fits my stroke. I would probably putt just as well with an oddy #9

as for betti, the FIT face is incredibly soft, but over time I felt that was a negative for me. Putting a premium ball with an FIT face was like hitting a marshmallow, I could barely feel it and had poor distance control. I love the way bettis look, but the ones that are visually appealing to me dont fit my stroke
If you like that head shape, Betti has the BB34. Usually without the FIT face too from what I've seen when they are on ebay and such

Definitely Bettinardi for me. The fact that Scotty can't even offer a carbon putter any more is ridiculous to me. I am more into Tour putters or one of a kinds and in that realm, not only are Bettinardi's more affordable and cooler looking, they actually are different then anything retail. To me a Circle T or an 009 are basically just retail putters with a few basic stampings and suddenly they are worth $3000. A Tour Betti looks totally different then anything retail they offer and can be had for easily half the price of an 009.
And besides all that, the guys at Bettinardi like Bob, Sam, Nick and Keith are all awesome to talk to and deal with.

It's all a toss up on preference. I wouldn't mind gaming either or. I like the shape of Camerons better but I wouldn't be opposed to owning a Betti.

If Money is no object I'm going with Cameron. I like some of his millings and finished better.

If money is an object I'm going Betti all day. Fully customizable vs. double the price and I can't choose.

Best retail vs. best retail I'm going with an older Cameron. Some of his old stuff was pure genius

I've had both and switched to the odyssey milled versions. Feel better to me with some of pro type carbon putters being my favorite

FWIW, my favorite Cameron releases were classic lines milled/produced by Bettinardi.  Both guys produce top-notch quality products, but honestly I like the fact that RJB keeps it domestic.

I have to say that to me the Bettinardi product looks cheap.....I saw a pic of one in this thread with an ENGRAVED tiki man and about threw up !   Some Scotty fans don't like the Peace, surf, golf stamped punters coming out of the Gallery.....but by anyone's call they are a damn site better than that ugly thing.

I really enjoy both my Scotty TEI3 Newport 2 Longneck and my Bettinardi Xcelerator.  I have had more fun modifying them than anything - both have great millwork.  It's apples and oranges to compare the big block Xcelerator to the blade Newport.

The biggest difference with both is actually grip (SuperStroke changes everything).  I took the head off of my Xcelerator (big bee size) and had it dark anodized, then paint-filled it purple and black - gave me something to do while watching The Masters on the app from cold Indiana and gave me a little extra affection for my putter when I bring it to the green.

The 2 most important finds for me with each putter is that even great putters fail when you don't have the right shaft length, and grip (again, SuperStroke) can play a huge role in making a well-engineered head find the ball in the right place and roll it well every time.

Scotty all the way!  Betti's aren't all that popular or available up where I am, I have only seen a couple in a few stores.  While they hit fine in the store, having 5 different scotty's gives you options.  2 Newports, Red X, California Coronado, California Monterrey.  The Gallery stuff is nice but way out of my price range!
