Ive switched to Bettinardi in the last 6 months and just feel like I can hit putts I never could before. Who prefers Betti over the mass produced Scotty's  out there?

I have option of each, game neither currently.  Need a putter that you can aim and start on a line and has a wieght to it that agrees with your ability to guage speed.  So many good putters are out there, I am team options and choice.

You also kinda imply that Bettis are not mass produced.....

Its a 2 ball for my self but i have had a number of Scottys over the years , normally newport shape.

Over here in the UK the Bettis arent really very popular , i havent even seen a one in the flesh in all the years i have been playing.

I switched from betti to scotty, but there's no real allegiance, the del mar shape just fits my stroke. I would probably putt just as well with an oddy #9

as for betti, the FIT face is incredibly soft, but over time I felt that was a negative for me. Putting a premium ball with an FIT face was like hitting a marshmallow, I could barely feel it and had poor distance control. I love the way bettis look, but the ones that are visually appealing to me dont fit my stroke

just hopped on the Scotty train for the first time. for me its about looks and feel and being comfortable with the stick i'm using. the brand isn't a huge factor as long as the putts are falling. I think loyalties can fall by the wayside when your hearing the 'ball drop into the cup sound' regularly

I don't play either, but I've always preferred Betti. I just prefer their shapes, weights, colors, etc. Not that Scotty is bad, or lacking in anyway. I think Scotty's tech actually is their biggest differentiator. But Betti's style and my perception of their craftsmanship is why I'd go that way.

Basically if you gave me $500 to pick from their retail stuff, but I couldn't keep the change, Betti is where I'd most likely end up.

Own both brands and neither is 100% in the bag at all times. You also run into a dilemma because all Camerons produced from 1995-1997 (some of their best work) was milled by Bettinardi for Cameron.

A lot depends on the putter you want.  Hand stamping- Cameron.  Awesome engraving- Bettinardi.  Prefer carbon steel- Bettinardi, affordable stainless- Cameron.

Best 8802 style- Bettinardi
Best Scottsdale Anser style- Byron Morgan
Best other Anser variants- Cameron
Best mallets- Bobby Grace

I use the Scotty X7M putter, and I must say that its the best putter I have used. Very easy to align and rolls the putts very smooth.

At the moment, and probably will be for quite some time, I am with Bettinardi. The finish of this putter, the engravings, the shape...I am not sure I would be able to afford this in a Scotty.
ImageUploadedByGolfWRX Mobile1471626674.052960.jpg
ImageUploadedByGolfWRX Mobile1471626693.241824.jpg

Also, the feel/sound is perfect for me.
The pictures do no justice to the beautiful finish this putter has.  Since I got this putter and my putting has actually gotten better. Really, there is nothing technically special with this putter other than aesthetics.  The model fits my stroke BUT the look is everything I want to look down on. All that mental comfort has given me a calm confidence over putts and because of that, I am making more of them.
I do want a Scotty still as I have a SC blade head cover that needs to cover a Scotty but I am in no rush. I have to love it and if I don't then there is no reason to drop any money for one.  Besides at this point, it will just be a back up.  I really don't see my Bettinardi leaving the bag...well, ever.

Why do we have to pick a "team"?  BOTH companies make great putters, and Bob used to mill putters for Scotty in the early days.
Heck, why can't we just all get along? :victory: :betty: :scotty:

They both make beautiful putters but I love the "smaller" American made feel of Bettinardi. Check out my WITB, just had my putter refinished and the boys at Betti couldn't have done a better job.

I've been using my fitted Kuchar Model 1 standard for a year now. Love it! Looks, Feel, distance control. It's perfect for me. I'm tempted to add an iNovai3.0 to my arsenal soon.

They are both great companies. If i had a bunch of extra cash laying around, I would personally go for a tour Bettinardi. Scottys are really awesome, but you see them so much more that I would roll something else.

I love the fact that Bettinardi is made in the USA.  I don't know about the current Scottys.  I tried to replace my Newport 2 with a Betti.  In the end i just couldn't make putts with it.  It was probably my stroke.  Went back to the Scotty and started draining putts again.  Weird game.

Used to be Cameron Crazy. Switched to Bettinardi for affordable custom options, and customer service won me over forever. Team Bettinardi

Personally met and ate with Bob, Sam, and Nick. All WONDERFUL guys. Couldn't be more impressed.
