Srixon Z Star XV is going to be closest to the RZN Black.

I love the RZN Black but I'm also looking for a long term replacement. I just bought a dozen of new Z-Star XVs and I'm putting them in play tomorrow so I'll let you know how they compare.

I tried Srixon Z-Star XV in my round yesterday and really enjoyed it. It felt similar to the Nike RZN black to me, was low spin off the driver, and played similarly to the Nike RZN black around the green. I'll need some more rounds to confirm but I like it so far. I seemed to be able to control it really well.

I think the new RZN Black is the best ball I have used from them.  Even better than the "tour only" RZN "Dot" Black, it's basically a softer and similar performing ball in my opinion.  Another reason I am bummed they are exiting the equipment/ball arena.

Played the B330 more today and am going to have to lean more towards this than the Z Star XVs for you RZN tour black lovers.
This may be the best ball out right now.

I liked the Bridgestone B330 and TM tpx the best, but really do like the RZN black, especially when windy.  After reading good reviews about the z star XVs, I tried them but there was a few things about them I didn't like.  I didn't really find them lower spin then other "comparable" balls and I didn't really care for the feel.

Although they say the B330 is for faster swing speeds (mine is 95), I didn't particularly like the B330RX, but love the RZN Black.
Do better golfers pay any heed to manufacturer swing speed recommendations?

Following this thread. In the same boat. Trying to stock up via lostgolfball but still very disappointed in this move and will eventually need to find a new ball. I could go back to Pro V1x or move to the TM TP X or switch to the Maxfli U/6 X (very good ball)...

I swing 100-103 and play the B330. I was actually fit into it by a live in person Bstone fitting team. I was making consistent solid contact and was close enough to the "cutoff" that they said it was the ball for me. It's the best play I've ever played. the TPx is a close second.

Taylormade Tour Preferred x (2015) for me.  I stocked up on them on sale and love the ball.  Cheaper than the Pro V1x and I feel like it is easier to control the spin as well.

Im glad I got the go ahead from the wife to stock up (6 dozen) of this years offerings. I actually really like the volt Blacks. Last night I was testing the Snell MTB against the black as Snell sent me a dozen to do a testing for them. The Snell held its own but the Black was just longer and more controllable for me. This years are the best feeling low spin tour ball since the tour d. I always went with the spinnier ball the last few modelss (20xis 20xi platinums) because the x and black felt really hard and made a terrible noise with the 20xi x being the worst. The new black though checks all the boxes for me and I got plenty to last me a while still not Rory's 3 year supply though.

I was a ProV1x guy for a while, and then maybe 2 years ago tried a bunch of balls (based on recommendations from these boards), and landed on the RZN Platinum and the Snell.

After some more testing recently, I landed on the RZN Black.  It's a little firm, but it performs well off the tee and around the greens.  Certainly spins favorably off the big dog.

So now i'm left either hoarding RZN Black, which i'm willing to do, but I thought it'd be a good time to snag some sleeves and see what else is out there.

I'm looking to try (again):
  • ProV1x
  • The 330/330s from Bridgestone
  • Chrome Soft
  • ???
I'm looking for recommendations from guys that maybe liked the RZN Black, and might be able to recommend comparable balls.

Thanks
My son played the Prov1-X for a while then the newest RZN Black.  Now uses the Vice Pro Plus.  He likes them better than either the Titleist or the Nike.

b330 or zstar xv if you are looking for a firmer ball. I play the zstar xv and came from the B330. I think the srixon has a lot more "feel".

It's not as firm off the driver as the Bridgestone in my opinion.  And it definitely in my experience spins more with shiort irons and wedges.
But I have not used the last 2 versions of the B330. (Hydrocore and slipres)

Played the Tour Black along side the Srixon XV. The Tour Black plays perfect for me.
Need to find more of these balls.

Anyone know where there may be still Nike RZN tour blacks for sale?

I have a dozen, but too bad it's so darn expensive to ship anything in this country (Canada). Otherwise - i'd send them to you.

I've still got six dozen of the rzn tour black volt color left that will last me this year.

I'm going to try the Titleist AVX and maybe one of the Bridgestone tour balls next and try and find my next fit...
