FYI.....Jet.com has the 2017 bags. 15% off with coupon and more off if you pay with debt card and opt out of free returns. I got a 2.5 with free shipping for $182 out the door.

Thanks for posting this deal,  I got the 2016 C130-S. As much as I liked the Woode system and torque strap on my 2005 Ogio Exo, I think I'm going to enjoy the 14 dividers and twice the storage much more.

I called Sun Mountain and asked if there was going to be a new C130-S coming out this year. The customer service person said nothing new, just  a discontinuation of one of the colors (I think it was the Citron, but can't remember now).

I purchased the new 3.5 LS and used it this weekend. Great bag. I bought the 2.5 a few months ago, but took it back because I decided I needed an extra pocket or two, and I wanted a little more cushion/width in the straps. The 3.5 LS is still lightweight (3.5 lbs I think), but has a couple of extra pockets and better straps. The straps are like my old Ping Hoofer...good width and firm cushioning. Also, with the straps on the 3.5 LS you can use it as a single strap if you prefer. Highly recommended.

Did you notice a big difference in weight between the 3.5LS and the 2.5?  While I use a push cart for most of my rounds I am thinking about putting together a bag that I can leave in my trunk and play if I leave work early in the afternoons.

I don't think there's much difference. According to the Sun Mountain specs, the 3.5 LS weighs one pound more than the 2.5. That's about the weight of one club. Plus, the straps on the 3.5 make carrying the load a little easier.

Thanks for the reply! Did you have any issue with the grab handle rubbing your back or clubs sitting high like some experienced in the 2016 3.5s?

Looks good to me also. The weight of the 3.5 is appealing to me but I really like bags with a pass-through cart strap like the new 4.5 has.

Thankfully, SM got rid of the handle they had been using the last couple of years on the 3.5. I had no issues with the handle on the 3.5 LS. It will lie down relatively flat against the bag rather than sticking up like the previous years' model. Not sure what you mean about the clubs sitting high, though.

I've only used it one round, but so far no issues at all. It appears to have the same opening and dividers as the 2.5.

From a previous thread on the 2016 Models (http://www.golfwrx.c...-5-2016-review/)

It appears that clubs don't sit all the way down on the bag and sort of ride high.

I used my 3.5ls for one range session and one round with a clicgear. I have not experienced any club tangle. It's a great bag

Does anyone know if the 3.5LS takes the zero gravity strap, or do I have to go to the ZG bag?

I see many of you mentioning a left handed version but nowhere in the brochure do I see anything about a left handed version. What am I missing? I would like to take a look at them. I even went on their website and didn't see any option for a left handed version of their bags.

The 4.5 LS has a left handed version (all black). It's on the SM website (https://shop.sunmoun...182-detail.html) - last picture.

You will find the option (if available) in the color section for each bag.  They are not separate models.  They are usually available in black and sometimes an additional color way.  They do not have any actual pictures of the lh bags on their site.

I'm stuck between the front 9, 3.5ls and the 4.5ls. Coming from a long run of 3.5s, I enjoy the size of my wife's swift x but with it's 4 way top and 7.5 inch top with zero full length dividers, I wish it were just a little bigger....I love the straps on the 4.5ls and it has a few extra pockets....color ways are all different so there are a lot of pros and cons.

I can weigh in between the front 9 and 3.5 LS. Those were the two I had it narrowed it down too. For me the dividers and size of the opening made the call to get the 3.5ls because the difference of weight is less than a pound. The reason I like the 3.5 over 4.5 is the straps. I have a swift x and loved it other than the top and divider. So I think this 3.5ls is the closest to the swift x with a better top and dividers.

I carry and walk whenever the courses I play allow it, which is about 1/3 of the time.  I really like the 2017 4.5ls 14-way, but am debating if I should go for a 2016 3.5, which are on sale online for ~$130, a real bargain.  The weights are about the same since the 2016 non Light Series 3.5 actually weights over 4lb.

No he said the 2016 3.5 is over 4 lbs and closer to the 2017 4.5 LS in weight, not the 3.5 LS which is 2017.

I'll be buying the C130 most likely for next season. I love the C130s because I could use those stands on the range or chipping green, but I wish it had the separate putter holder (I've got a huge mallet). Since I'd be using a cart or some kind 99% of the time with this, I guess no stand isn't a huge deal. It seems to look like it will stand up well on its own on flat level surfaces.

The 2016 C130s does have a separate putter well
Yes I saw it got the putter well. I was looking at the 2015 version.

now the question is: Will the 130Cs fit nicely into a push cart? The catalogue reads like it's meant purely for riding, which I don't plan to do much of next year. I'm buying a push cart, so I have to have a bag that fits nicely in there. I saw SM makes a bag specifically for push carts, called the Sync. They also make a bag called the Phantom which seems like just a smaller version of a C130.

How do you know which one you need? Is the C130 made more for guys who brings lots of food and drink? I've currently got a 7 pocket TM bag which is a carry bag and it seems to hold enough stuff for me. I bring like 2 bottles of water, 10-12 balls, tees & tools. I don't really think I need room for a 6 pack or beer or whatever...
