2018 Web.com Tour regular season final earnings:

Top 25 (PGA Tour card)
  • 7. MEX Sebastián Muñoz (US$ 238 k)
  • 12. MEX José de Jesús Rodríguez (US$ 198 k)
  • 17. ARG Julián Etulain (US$ 186 k)
  • 21. MEX Carlos Ortiz (US$ 179 k)
Top 75 (Web.com Tour Finals)
  • 33. ARG Nelson Ledesma (US$ 148 k)
  • 47. PUR Rafael Campos (US$ 111 k)
Top 100 (Web.com Tour conditional status)
  • 85. MEX Óscar Fraustro (US$ 60 k)
Other players
  • 105. BRA Fernando Mechereffe (US$ 41 k)
  • 112. CHI Guillermo "Mito" Pereira (US$ 38 k)
  • 117. ARG Augusto Núñez (US$ 36 k)
  • 122. GUA José Toledo (US$ 34 k)
  • 131. MEX Gerardo Ruiz (US$ 27 k)
  • 140. MEX Armando Favela (US$ 22 k)
  • 146. COL Marcelo Rozo (US$ 18 k)
  • 163. MEX Rodolfo Cazaubón (US$ 12 k)
  • 171. MEX Roberto Díaz (US$ 9 k)

Very surprising to see Cazaubon that low.  He is a great ball striker and has the Olympic Golf Course tournament record with a -19 over 4 days.  1 better than Justin Rose at the Olympics. Jesus Rodriguez is just naturally talented, el Camarao is good.

PGATOURLA starts its second half in a couple of weeks in Brazil with 2 events: Sao Paulo Golf Club Championship and JHSF 65th Brazil Open.  Joaquin Niemann played last year as an amateur and was in top 10 after 2 rounds but faded.  Less than 1 year later, he's already collected 1 millions dollars as a non PGATOUR member.  Impressive.

Cheers and will try to keep you updated on these two events.

Roberto Díaz and Fabián Gómez earned PGA Tour cards for the 2018/19 season.

Andrés Romero, Nelson Ledesma and Rafael Campos failed to do so, so they will play the Web.com Tour (or the European Tour in the case of Romero).

This is somewhat dated but my favorite swing to ever come from the South American was Carlos Franco.

His swing was born of tempo, rhythm and balance...it was old school and had a Fred Couples/Colin Montgomerie elegance to it...

Few people have ever had the beauty of his swing...imho

I love Carlos Franco. Iirc, he would hit only a half dozen range balls or so when preparing to play, then he was ready to go.

Saw him play during a Champions Tour event recently ... his swing looked as syrupy as ever.
I love that swing! Thing of beauty.  Seems like a cool dude.  The original "most interesting man in the world" perhaps?
