Went 48-38 yesterday.

Front nine felt like I had never played. Topped shots, duffed shots. Shot a 48 while parring 3 holes.  It was feast or famine on the front 9

Then settled into a groove on the back and had 7 pars and 2 bogeys for a 38.  For me as a 13 handicap that is a fantastic back 9

40-30. I was playing with my girlfriend at the club I worked at, we weren't playing for anything, but we made the turn and she casually mentions that she is beating me....she shot even 36...at my golf course that she was playing for the first time she was whipping me by 4! Get to the back birdied 1,2,3,5,6 and 9 to shoot 70 to her 71.

Went 44-58 yesterday for a 102. 16 handicap.
I attribute it to gassing out on the back. I practiced for a good amount of time Thursday evening, then played Friday (93) and Saturday (88).
I was a little upset but later realized i just ran out of gas and played some decent golf the rest of the weekend.

35 (even par) - 45 (9 over) to shoot 80 at my home course. Still chasing the 79. That was the most devastating round I've ever had.

Playing a tough course above Pittsburgh in a tournament this past Tuesday. Started on the back with a solid 42, and then posted a 57 on the front, got up and down from the sand on the last to keep it under 100. 'Twas a bad day. This after a 79 at the previous tournament, golf is hard

Twice this year I have shot 44-34 on two different courses (both 72). It's very humbling and rewarding at the same time, and it also makes me love to hate this crazy game!

Did it today - 13 shot differential between the front and back.  47-34.  5 doubles and a bogey on the front, 4 birdies and two bogeys on the back.  Front nine was embarrassing with 4 hosel rockets on iron shots from the middle of the fairway.  Regrouped on the back and hit it much better.

I shot 48 35 in my club championship one time.  Once I made the turn, I said screw just aim at the flags you're out of it now.

I had my biggest differential today - the front definitely plays harder than the back at mine, and I hadnt played in about 10 or 11 days.. Went 49 (+14) on the front, 38(+2) on the back.. I actually felt that I didnt play ridiculously better on the back; just didnt have any 3 putts or lost balls and chipped it slightly better. My mind set on the back nine was different though, I was thinking Im going to make level par on the back and playing shots to try and achieve / chase that, whereas on the front I guess I wasn’t really focusing on much, just some swing thoughts.. Oh well, shows how fine the margins are between good and bad golf!!

How about this variation on the theme:

1-over on my “front six”, including a weird yippy 3-putt from 25 feet.

3-over on my “back six”, including another weird yippy 3-putt from 30 feet and a lip-out birdie putt.

And 12-over on my “middle six”!!!

I went 50-37 a few years back...I don't remember what went through my head or what clicked, but it was a weird round.  I think I was just trying to grind out and break 100 to start the back 9.

2 rounds ago was 53-43 for me. Putter was working decent and started keeping my tee shots in the fairway.

My buddy had a nice one last time we were out. He was hungover as he'll for a 9:21 tee time. We ended up playing 36. He was all over the place to start. Got better once he got a little hair of the dog. Went 54-44-39-47 lol. The split score of 83 was his PR but he said he didn't feel like it should count lol.
