IIRC Cellini was neither fired, nor did he quit.

His contract was up and he felt that he should get more money because his duties had significantly increased, including much more travel for the PGA broadcasts. He could not reach an agreement with TGC on contract terms, so he left when his contract was up.

Well I for one am glad he is back. I think he does a fine job and I missed him on the big break.

I hope he got the contract he wanted.

I am glad he is back also. Wonder if he will host any of the upcoming Big Breaks.

Pretty cool that he was a tight end.

Glad he's back... maybe he can learn to commentate? He'd probably be better than the majority...

AMEN. I dig Vince, I think he has a little swagger and does not take the whole thing too seriously. He's a good fit and I'd love to see him in there rather than Inga or that other new guy.

Viva Vince.

This is really good news. I always liked Vince, but didn't realize exactly how much I liked him until he was gone. Hopefully TGC pays him a huge amount of cash to get him to pick up even more shows...even if that means an extra hour of informercials a day. :D

I thought Vince was an assett to the show. I'm glad he's back to give that new worm on the Big Break a beatdown.

The last guy on the Big Break seemed like Frankenstein with terrible wardrobes and a creepy molester voice.

I think this is good news! I agree with this post...Less Inga Hammond is always a great thing...everything I hear her say the word "Championship" it makes me cringe! She always seems to over pronunciate words to sound overly educated.

Does he start immediately?? Let's hope so. I find The 19th Hole unwatchable right now. I was never a big fan of Steve whats-his-name, but I really liked watching Vince and Charles Davis on that show.

Too bad we have to endure one more BB without Vince.....I wonder if we're stuck with Rick for this upcoming show.

I agree with all above....Inga is tough to watch. Iian Page.....eh, they can't all be stars...someone just has to report and send it back to the studio.

TGC......find a home for Chad Maulsby (The original Wandering Golfer)!!!!!

Unfortunetly the next Big Break with the women is already in the can. We need to deal with the stiff who looked like he just came out of the business meeting on the first episode of Big Break Mequite for Hawaii.

I'm glad he's back. I like him and his sense of humor. I can't take Inga Hammond saying,"Thank You much" , anymore. That was the most annoying thing ever!

Go Vince.

Glad Vince is back, I for one find it refreshing when people don't take themselves too seriously, and I think Vince fills the bill.

Vince Cellini who was fired/quit end of last year

They parted ways due to money. He didn't want to leave, but he did. He was actually one of the more popular hosts they had. The void must have been too hard to fill. I missed him for sure.

Anyone besides me think that the best chemistry they had on this show was with Vince, Charles, and the Big Dog?

Where did Charles and "Big Dog" go?

I'm happy Vince is back he brings variety to the golf channel staff.

Who is that new younger guy who does Golf Central? He seems like he could be good but comes across over acting with a fake voice. I think he's not too comfortable on the air yet.

They went to pursue other interests. Charles is doing more College football stuff and NFL Network stuff....Big Dog is a Sports Talk guy in Tampa.

I was not implying that Vince was bad, just stating after the recent developments with with Kelly T, The Golf Channel had to do something to change the focus of her.

I also am glad to have Vince back, I have not been able to watch a single episode of Grey Goose, from start to finish since they split. The new people are horrendous, I have a feeling that ratings are starting to dictate TGC willingness to pay vince and bring some personallity back in their programming, the past few months have been very bland. Now bring back the smooth talking Peter Kessler, and all will be right in the world.

I really dont like Vince Cellini.

I think he comes across as insincere and a bit up himself.

Thank God the Golf Channel UK has bit the dust.
