Best Shot: 201 yard par 3, hit my 21 degree hybrid pin high left, about 12 ft.

Worst Shot: My 3 bladed or chunked LW shots from within 50 yards, but especially the one I followed up with a chunked chip.

worst shot was an approach that I tried with my back buried into a small pine tree off the right side of the fairway.  rather than taking my medicine and chipping back on I tried to play a punch hook out around the next 3 trees that run down the edge of the fairway but smacked it straight into the next tree and this time it dropped straight down.  this was on 18 and the triple I took brought me to 4 over on the back 9, boy I'm an idiot.

Oo God... Best shot last round was greenside rough, severe downslope , buried. Pin high, with about 15-20yrds of flat green to play with. It was a par 3-145yrd tee shot that I hooked. Managed to play the lie & rough like a fiddle with my 60*. Came out smooth, released smooth & steady towards pin. Just rolled right last second. Tap in for par. The lie and severe downslope were the difficult part of the shot, and it felt good to execute.

Worst shot?! Which one?! Lol. I would have to say it was 2nd shot of 18 fairway. 170 out, in the fairway, had hazard between 100-130yrds.  Beautiful lie, easy looking pin to go at. Hit a fat practice shot, and 2nd practice swing had good tempo. Feeling good over top of it. Swing, and SHANKERDOODLE! Into the $hit!! Couldn't find ball, took my drop and moved on for a 6.

Lately, been shanking roughly one iron shot a round. All with good lies. It's irking me. Oo well.

Best: 200 yard 5 iron into a par 5 (big deal for me...5i  and down off the deck is usually hook city)

Worst: pick any of my stabbed chips

It was absolutely infuriating. It is actually more infuriating looking back on it as the round as a whole as opposed to in the round itself when I am doing my best to take it a shot at a time.

Hitting a rocket on Hole 9 on Bethpage Black from the Blue tees ~290 and cutting the corner by the tree line on the left. Had ~95 to the center. Didn't account for the wind in my face and left it short!!! UGH. Ended up bogeying with such a great tee shot.

Was playing on my nemesis hole. It is a 409 yd par 4 that starts straight but takes a 45 degree dogleg right about 150 yds off the tee. It is a narrow fairway lined with massive trees. They are too tall and close to the tee box to try to cut the corner....I've tried many times. My standard is to try a 3w and put a pretty good fade on it. This one worked to perfection and landed 245 yds down in the middle of the fairway.

Worst shot (not including a few sketchy drives) was a 25yd flop shot that went horribly wrong. Ended up catching it thin so it landed about 100 yds away.

Meant to post this earlier in the week but here goes.

My last round was a really big tournament about a month ago. Wasn't really striking the ball all that good that week but just kept hanging in there and with 9 holes to play was leading by 5. I bogey the next 2 holes and go to #12 which is short par 3 over a creek. I knew the shot called for a slight draw but in the middle of my swing I decided to try and cut the ball instead which everyone, including myself, knew that you should never do on that hole with the pin placement being where it was. The ball ballooned on me and fell into the water.

But that wasn't even my worst shot on that hole. That came next. Instead of going to the drop zone I took the other drop option and decided to play from about 70 yards out. I then proceeded to hit the absolute worst shot I've hit in I don't know when. I chunked it so bad that it almost didn't get to the water! But it did and I went on to make a 7 on the shortest hole on the course, costing me the tournament.

I saw this one kid do the same exact thing in some tournament I believe was called the "Meesters," or something like that?

Scientists calculated that he actually slowed the planet's rotation by about a quarter of a second per day with the amount of Earth he grabbed on that 3rd shot.

What was his name?  Spithe? Spathe?  Spiff?

Something like that. Someone who has only won a couple of times on tour, and only a couple majors.  Relative chicken winging no name.

Best shot today: 140 yd par 3 8i into a breeze, right over the top of the pin and spun back to 10 ft. Missed the birdie putt of course.

Worst shot today: 6i from a thin lie where I needed a majestic high sweeping draw cause I was on the edge of a tree line and hit a thin squirter into a bunker short and right.
So there is really only here and now

Best shot: Tie between the 3 wood slice I pummeled to get out from behind a tree and within 30 yards of the green, and the subsequent chip in (after leaving a pitch in short) for birdie.

Worst shot: Flubbed tee shot with 3H that led to one of two doubles that round. Stupid.

Played in a shotgun scramble with a few older guys at my club this weekend.

Worst: Our 1st hole of the day (#8) a super narrow par 4 with OB left, trees right, and about 3 or 4 huge oak trees that over hang the green forcing you to hit a lower shot in.  All 3 older guys hit the fairway so I figured I would take out the driver and swing away. Normally don't hit driver there are its very narrow and not all that long (maybe 370), but I figured why not. Took a huge swing, hit the ball on the top of the toe with the face wide open. Went about 3 fairways right, didn't even bother looking for the ball. Pretty embarrassing.

Best: #10, 410 yard par 4, playing slightly down-wind. Hit a pretty solid drive, nice little draw down the right half of the fairway. We used my drive, had about 136 in. Flag was tucked over a mound, just right of a fairly deep trap and just short of a sharp ridge that runs thru the middle of the green. Smooth 3/4 PW down-wind, hit about 3 feet right of the pin, checked once and spun back and left. Nice little kick in birdie putt.

Take a pick
Double tapped a put for birdie, a put!! Haven't done that before
Double tapped a chip from near the green

Best
Improved my no. 1 eclectic position of 71 players, with a long birdie
Now 11 birdies, 6 pars and a bogey through 7 rounds

But still played useless today

Was playing solo Sunday in a 15+ mph breeze, snow flurries and 43 degree temperatures.

Best was my into the wind 8 iron on #2.  Settled down 4 feet from the hole and I made it for birdie.

Worst was my topped 2nd shot on #14 (par 5).  Good thing I was solo as it was really bad - embarrassing even though I had no witnesses.

Best: I hit the ball on the green on a 319 yard par 4 and two putted to close out in a birdie. And salvaged 40 w/ all the penalty strokes

Playing solo, following a 3-some, I was waved onto the green from 165 yds and topped the 5-wd.  Embarrassing.

Promptly walked to the next shot and fired a PW from 80yds, a sky-high arced shot up-hill, right over the flag to 10' while the 3 guys stood on the green heads arched tracking it to the green....could not be sweeter.

Best: Pushed my tee shot left, runs through the fairway close to some trees. My approach is blocked by a few branches, so I aim right of the branches and attempt a fade into the green. Hit the purest fade six iron of my life onto the back part of the green (front pin).

Worst: On the same hole, three putt for bogey :no2:

Round last week..
Best shot: par 5, second shot had 195 to the green guarded by water short and left to a back left pin, hit a solid 4 hybrid that landed on the fringe and got up and down for birdie.
Worst shot: Next hole, 145 yard par 3 with water short, left and long, and skulled a 9 iron straight over the green into the hazard.

Best shot last night was a 198 5-Iron on a slight downhill on a par 3 to about 15ft. Just hit the thing pure and with the exact shape I was playing for. I followed it up on the next tee by getting stuck and blocking my Driver 45* right over the trees onto the adjacent fairway. 15 holes played without getting stuck once and then the gremlin showed his ugly head and punishes me.

Best shot: Because of the added pressure, it was sinking a 1-putt 15 footer for bogey on a par-3 18th to win my pride round by a stroke against my cousin yesterday.

Worst shot: fatting my 4-iron about 80 yards of the tee on that 18th which gave me a blind 2nd shot at the green, and forced me to scramble to not make worse than four on the hole.

Worst shot was hybrid in the drink off the tee on a an easy par 5 that is 90 degree dogleg.  Sure glad I played it smart, DOH!.  Best was a 30 yard greenside bunker shot uphill to the top tier with pin short sided.  Put the 54 wedge to 6 inches for a kick in.

Gorgeous day.  Only played nine but  it actually felt like golf today.

Best shot last round was on #1 had about 220 yard drive straight done the fairway was 140 from the pin. Front left of green that is an island grabbed a 9iron. Bombed it about 3 foot from the pin 2 putted for a par (I know should ha e been birdie but I can't putt that good)

Worst shot was on hole 8 I believe nice drive but took a bad bounce about 10 feet from a tree tried to 4hybrid under the branches back on the fairway. Well came across real
Bad hit the trunk of the tree lost about 40 yards but on the fairway at least 😂😂

Best shot was a 330yd Drive down the middle of the Fairway at Port Jeff Country Club on the 3rd hole during a Best Ball tournament. Made it to the bottom of the hill in the fairway on the 491 yard Par 5.

Worst shot was my tee off on 16. 175 yard Par 3 into a slight wind. Hit a pretty solid 7i short of the green. We ended up bogeying the hole and losing the tournament by 1 stroke. Should've hit a 6.
