Title says it all.

Best shot: got myself stuck behind some trees in the rough down in a little valley below the fairway about 130 yards from the green. Totally blind shot. Worked a low punch out to slice a little bit, wound up about a yard off the green for an easy chip and par save.

Worst shot: flubbed a par 3 tee shot off the hosel, put it behind a tree 20 yards to the right. Yuck.

Best shot - #16, good drive, 150 out, some tall trees to clear.  Put the ball way up in the stance and blasted it super high, right over the trees EXACTLY how I pictured it, to about 20 feet.  Then 3-putted.  This is my nemesis hole and I still have never par'd that sucker.

Worst shot - First tee, hit a over the top, closed face straight pull hard left into the cart barn that should be totally safe and out of play.  Nothing was broken except my pride.

Best shot- #13 165 yard second shot into a short par 5 that I cut off a bit off the tee. Shallow green with the pin maybe 6 paces from the front, tucked behind a bunker. High 7 iron that pitched a foot in front of the pin and had to roll right over the cup to about 3 feet past. Made the put for eagle.

Worst shot- #4 430 yard par 4 SI #2. Hit a great drive right down the middle had an 8 iron second shot. Low thin push off to the left (left handed) into a short sided bunker. 2nd worst shot was the bunker shot over the green. Made double.

They were back to back.

I hit a huge drive (for me), about 285 and had 88 left in, pure shanked a gap wedge over on the next tee box, and huge pine trees between me and the green, but a path low.  I took my 3H and hit a little punch that jumped off the cart path hot ( had to hit it to get there), the collar killed it and it rolled up about 10 feet, made the putt for par.

It was a shot that announcers on TV would have talked about.  I envisioned it, but did not think I could pull it off.  I could hit 20 balls from there, and maybe not get another even on the green.

I had many worst shots my last round. Best worst shot was a 20' birdie putt on the first hole that I sank. Got a birdie on the card, but nothing good happens after birdying the first..

I had a wild day off the tee, so it left me with plenty of opportunity to hit some great recovery shots. Best was probably on #11. 430 Par 4. Pushed my tee shot left and hit an obstruction 50 yards out, ball bounced back into the fairway leaving me with 280. Smoked my 3 wood to the front of the green, saved par. Also had a bubba-esqe gap wedge shot. Hit 3 i right and ended up about 90 yards out and 10 yards right into the woods. Ball was behind a tree in relation to line to the green, basically hit a snaphook gap wedge, which is better than a snap hook drive since it still carries a tad bit of height, and landed on the green to save par.

Worst shot.. probably all of my tee shots except for 3-4 that I wasn't hitting my driver.

I struggled a bit yesterday.   Everything was off.  Like if I am normally playing to an 8 out of 10 on the scale (scale for my ability of course), yesterday every single aspect was like a 5 or 6.  Just a struggle.  Any way

Best Shot:  Had a nice chip in for birdie on 13.  It was an easy chip shot, just a little bump and run down the slope (used my 54* as I only had a yard or two of rough to carry and needed it to land softer than with say a PW or 9) but it was great to hit the shot perfect.  Nice pace, perfect line, center cup.

Worst Shot:  Was the approach on #13 which led to the chip in.  My tee ball was hit perfectly in the middle of the fairway.  The hole is a short par 4.  I was 85 yards off the green.  I hit a dead blade 3/4 sand wedge.  Just hit the dead center of the ball.  It didn't get off the ground at all.  I got insanely lucky in the fact that it rolled through a deep bunker, up the slope, across the green to like 30 feet behind the hole just off the green.  But it was gross.  It wasn't my worst result but it was by far and away the worst single shot/stroke I made all day.

Second worst shot:  Pick anyone of the 3 140 yard pitching wedge shots I hit into greens on the day.  Each one of them, ended up 15 yards shorts and blocked out 20 yards right.  For some reason I had no 'speed'  (that's a Tiger term right?) in my swing.  Wasn't turning, wasn't moving my arms/hands fast enough.  It was gross.  I think  I was just worn out.  But yeah, I hit 3 or 4 of those lol.

I had a 277 drive (gamegolf) which was even in the fairway, then promptly shanked my 2nd shot trying to hit 3 wood and put it on from 240 :russian_roulette:

I ended up scrambling for a par but if my drive was shorter I probably lay up with an iron and have a much better chance at making birdie.

325 yard par 4. slight dogleg left. shortest on the course, front pin location on a narrow strip of green that widens at the back. Protected by trees on the left with the dogleg and water on the right. Drove the ball with a draw pin high landing about 5 yards to the right of the green and the water hazard on the right was about 2 yards away. Normally don't draw the ball (fight massive slice) but something just clicked out there that day and I went from averaging 260 on the front nine when I hit it well to +300 drives on the back 9, was really awesome.

Worst shot of the day was topping the next shot, a 48* chip, onto and then off the green, chipping back on with 6 feet to go and missing the par putt. For a hole that should have been the easiest birdie of my life I went home with a 5. lol

It was the same shot:
Hit a beautiful high draw with a 7 iron into the wind on the par 3 8th.

Best: Was headed for the middle of the green right where I wanted it with the exact ballflight I was looking for.

Worst: Then the wind finally got ahold of it and I ended up 20 yards short.

I hate these balls in the wind. ...

Best miss: par 3 11th thinned a 6 iron to 6' and made the putt. Was playing for the middle of the green. Lucky miss.

Worst : 50 yard shank in front of waiting players when I was already on the wrong fairway.

Best : 7 iron from 190 on par 5 to 8 feet. Very strong wind behind, chuffed partner and I worked out the right club to use. Missed putt of course.

I have 2.

Worst shot: Going for a drivable par 4, hooking my 3 wood to a possible OB. Play provisional with the safe 6 iron choice to 100 yards
Best shot: Stuffing that provisional to 3".......then going and finding my original ball which is not OB....
Worst shot Numero Two: but against the OB fence, forcing me to take an unplayable, and ultimately taking a 6 on the hole.

Best shot: Mashing a driver on a par 5 leaving myself 162 yards to the pin.
Worst shot: Flaring that 162 yard 8 iron out right, and having to get up and down.

My best shot immediately followed my worst shot...

I toed my 3rd shot on a par 4 from a few yards off the front right of the green almost directly right, and into a shallow puddle.  The ball was sitting halfway down in the water about 20 yards from the flag, so I bashed the *%^& out of my 60*.  The ball came out perfectly with a high lob for the lie it was in, landed a few feet on the green, and rolled out to 5ft from the hole.  I made the putt for bogey.

That was probably the best water shot I've ever made.

Left my first bunker shot in the greenside bunker on #4.  Grrrrrrr!

Made a 30 foot or so putt for birdie on #18 after announcing that I needed to make birdie to be the final qualifier for the US Open, big step in my career, etc...  The guy I joined helped out by being the announcer: "Did he hit it?  Is it enough?  It has a chance ... HE IS GOING TO THE US OPEN!!!"

I obliged the "crowd" by high fiving all the non-existent fans (no one was behind us).

What's the point of golf if we don't have a bit of goofy fun now and then.

Worst: Pulled a drive left and was barely in bounds, next shot was a 5i I almost completely missed and hit off the heel OB.

Why in the world would anybody want to recall their worst shot?

Best shot, hooked a 6 iron under and round a pine tree from about 150, low bullet, which hit the bank of the bunker, popped up onto the green... 2 putted from about 50' for par.

Best: 356 yard par 4 dogleg right - started my drive right and over trees, draw back to fairway, left myself just 33 yards in.

Worst: After a 300 yard drive on a 373 yard par 4, I skulled my 73 yard wedge straight into the tree I was 100% sure I could clear. The ball never got higher than 10 feet. Carded a double.

Best: About 80 yards to the pin. My ball is about a foot from a tree trunk that will restrict my follow though. Further up some more smaller trees that I will hit if I try to go over them, So I used a PW, aimed right and punched it. My follow through did just touch the tree trunk. But the ball went out and drew around the trees and landed on the green. Stopped about 30 feet away. Made the two-putt for par.

Worst: I don't even know what I did - heeled a 3-Hybrid about 80 yards forward and 30 yards left. Never got up off the ground.

Best: None. Nothing stood out.

Worst: Skied a drive on a long dogleg par 5 that left me in a bad position behind a crop of trees. Ended up carding a triple because of that horrid drive.

A par3 course, I skulled my tee shot on the shortest hole on the course into the bunker, which is about 12ft. below the green. It took me three to get out (wet sand, a 63 wedge I hadn't used in years, not enough sleep, not enough fiber in my diet, still disappointed in Buckner, etc.). On the side of the hill, took my 54 and holed it (and, I can honestly say that had been my intention all along).

Best:
First shot of the day with no warm-up, managed to find the damn green (usually ends up short or left)

Worst:
With an easy third shot to a par 5, 150 yards to center green, I ended up with a hard bounce just outside the back left of the green, kicking my ball a further 30 yards into bushes behind the green. Resulted in only double bogey of the round.

With a close second; on second hole I was GIR, but put 20 feet passed the pin, out of the green, and barely saved bogey
