The BST is going to be blowing up with S55 and iE1 sales soon... heck, most iron sets will be fair game for a clearout if these play as nice as they look.

Very nice!  Glad to see the minimalist look.  This club looks like it could be sold on the JDM.  They may replace my i20s that I can't seem to find anything better than.

Don't really understand the iBlade name though. I don't play Titleist irons anymore, but I really like their nomenclature the best.

Anything special about these?
Will they get sued by Apple for calling them an iBlade... :)

Ping already has the iE irons, so, no protest from Apple. These "Plain Jane" irons (for Ping) might be lookers, but performance? We'll have to wait on that.

I agree with the criticism of the numbers' font - way too "heavy" for an iron that's supposed to look sleeker. And, Ping can't seem to get rid of the designer who wants that blue in as many places as possible. Must be one of Karsten's relatives. I also semi-objected to my Mizzy's (MP 30s) dark blue paint fills. I guess my decades in art and design schools have something to do with it. Good design is not automatic or does it require something outrageous. Design choices are not usually a matter of personal taste or opinion. Professional success in art and design is very similar to golf: "talent" gets you to the front door, and after that, those who work the hardest and have the strongest will should have the most success - everyone has talent to one degree or another, but not everyone has a developed work ethic and desire to continue to learn and practice and do those things for a lifetime.

I agree with the gripes about the sole numbering. Its weird that they finally change the numbering, but on a minimalistic club such as this, just plain black would have been the icing on the cake.

Nevertheless, I am pumped that they seemed to hear the feedback on the Glide wedges. Cant wait to hit them!

I guess I'm in the minority in hating the blank, industrial blast cavity on this and the glide.  Hopefully, this knocks the S55 price way down so I can finally grab a set.

Hum, with the release of these clubs the "S" identifier will be retired.  Apparently Ping didn't put much value in that nomenclature.

These are a nice offering. Not crazy about the name though.

Why can't ping do this with their drivers? You have what....6 models of Ping irons out today - but only ONE driver head. i know there are models "variations" but it's basically one giant headed driver. If you're going to make blades for your customers why not bring back the i range of woods?

I'm sure these are packed with tech and will be at least 25% more forgiving than the S55'S in a couple key areas . I'm also guessing marginally stronger lofts these will be distance + feel+ control = $old
