Biggest issue for me is the failure to pick up swings.  I reckon it registers less than 50% of my shots, and then will pick up a random practice swing or even a thump off the club in the ground.

Do you have all the latest updates installed? Mine was like that before I updated the software.  If you are up-to-date and it still acts like that, contact garmin support.   Other than the fact that the update rate can be dependent on the quality of the satellite signals, much of that behavior is not normal and they will likely replace the unit for you.

Great question for him as I rarely have a swing missed except for short bumps/chips by the green.

OK after 2 rounds with it it's good for GPS. Had to figure out the icons for layups and things but once figured out no issues. Did not have shot tracker turned on, it does measure/record shots. Over all happy with it will see how shot tracking etc. goes.

I got one used the step counter  . On the course I just use it for front middle back yardages seems very accurate backed up with my Bushnell . I really thinking of selling it as I am not really the gadget guy and don't get full use of the thing . I use my Bushnell other guys in my group have gps watches if I don't have clear site to the green . I may post it on buy & sell shortly.

Got one used and I love it. Only thing is that the data is kept online and there is no way to download the raw data.
The online Garmin connect is a good interface but it lacks detail that is in the data they have.

I have been searching for a way to get my data downloaded to my pc.
If Garmin were to add that it would be the best watch out there.
