Bought the green volvik VIVID this past week. Loved the color. Loved the matte texture. However after 5-6 holes the green color started to wear off. Didn't hit any cart paths ( there are none ). I hope volvik realizes this before anyone starts to buy this all.

Interesting. I bought a sleeve of the green but haven't had the chance to play them yet.

Wow those are really bright.  Thanks for posting the pictures.  Looks like it would be an easy ball to find.

If you think the green is bright you should see the orange and pink. By far the orange is the brightest ball I've ever seen.

No the Crystsl is still around. It's got a translucent cover. The Vivid is essentially the same ball but with a matte finish cover.

Both 3 pc, surlyn cover and 80 compression.

A friend of mine (local club pro) is a Volvik nut. He gave me a single Orange Vivid that I was scared to play. I ended up giving it to my girlfriends son who thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I played a round with these a couple weeks ago. Did not really enjoy the feel of them. Felt dead/kinda hard off the tee. Not a lot of spin green side (makes sense as a surlyn ball) and seemed shorter for the most part off driver.

i was hoping that this ball would have more short-game spins/grabs than other surlyn cover balls do because of its matte texture.  i guess not.
i saw them at a local golf shop and it was BLINDING in a good way.

No issues at all for me. I played 16 holes with the same ball before losing it in the water.  I was checking it throughout the round and it never had any blemishes color or logo wise.

Saw the Vivid live tonight. Definitely bright and would be perfect at dusk. The finish is weird. I don't really like the look. It's a 3 piece. I suspect it has some feel to it. But, it doesn't look like it would. Strange our two golf galaxy's carry different models of Volvik.

The Crystal ball has been upgraded, and is now several generations past.  I love the Volvik colors, I have never experienced them fading.

This is the best looking ball I have seen. Standing here in store now looking at the orange and pink and thought I have to check out WRx to see if this ball is decent.

May buy a box to see. Would love a green one but they don't have any. If you lose this ball, there was zero hope of ever finding it anyway.

I bought a sleeve to try this past weekend.  They looked great, but I didn't really care for them.  They felt too hard off the driver, and didn't get the distance that I was getting with the crystals.

Bought a sleeve of the orange, curious to know if there is a plan to bring the matte finish to the IV or iS

Purchased a couple sleeves of orange, played 2 rounds.  Not worth 29.99 a dozen!  Very easy to find, great looking ball, no feel around the green!   The ball felt hard coming off the driver & irons.  When chipping--ball runs & runs!

Supposedly the Vibe are super soft and not hard like the Vivid.  They need to put this paint job in the Vibes.

We have really deep Bermuda rough where I play and losing balls is a constant problem.  I tried a red sleeve of these figuring that they would be easier to find.  I gave up on the ball after 5-6 holes.  Seemed really inconstant with a flier on one hole from the fairway and it falling out of the sky on the next hole.  Short off the driver.    I gave the sleeve to a friend that usually likes Volvik's but he noticed the inconsistency too.  I'm back to my Chrome softs or B330RX for me.

Where these balls really surprised me was the feel of the putter face. Almost like a rubber soft but with a true roll.

I played 4 holes with a red Vivid. It seemed like a hard ball off the driver and didn't spin well around the greens. If I could get this color with the feel of a softer golf ball, that would perfect.

My theory is that ball manufacturers dont want to produce matte finish balls so that we lose and buy new balls.

Matte finish is so awesome that u could spot it from 250 yds away.
