they are nothing like rifle shafts. The rifles have a lower flight and I personally never cared for how they felt. The T-Step 90 shaft is more like the dynamic golf s300. They are around 35 grams lighter however and slightly higher ball flight than dynamic golds.

They are very similar to the True Temper TX-90 lightweight steel shafts. They are also the same as the Nike SpeedStep Steel shafts in the older pro combo's. Info on the TX-90 below:

True Temper® TX-90

Taking steel golf shaft technology to the extreme, True Temper — the world's premier steel shaft manufacturer — took a revolutionary superlite alloy and incorporated a unique Speed-Step™ design to maximize velocity at impact.

Achieving trimmed weights below 90 grams, TX-90 allows for increased clubhead speed when compared to traditional steel shafts resulting in explosive power. Complementing the outstanding performance of the TX-90 is a state-of-the-art logo treatment giving it an appearance unlike any other in the industry. Bend Point: Low. STEP PATTERN: Variable
