I am 6 ft 1 inch and I prefer to use a 35 inch putter. This is mainly due to when practicing, I hate standing over a putter that is less than 35 inches. After a while, it starts to put a strain on your back from bending over that much. Now that may be just a personal problem that I have but is the main reason I prefer a 35 inch flat stick.

I am 6'9". I play 38.5" length and 4* upright.

I also added some weight to the head so it plays at 370g instead of 350g. It felt really light at 350g.

6'4" and recently switched to a 38" Nike B1-01 Counterflex. It's pretty great because there are alignment dots on the grip, so whether your tall with longer or shorter arms, it would be easy to use. You just pick where you feel most comfortable gripping the putter. Pretty cool.

5'9" 311/2 in putter (an old John Letters).  My personal belief is most players use too long a putter. Try a shorter putter and I bet your eyes line up much better.

If and when I need to fix anything putting, I go to Putt-Putt, with my own putter. Hardly ever hit more than 5 balls on a practice Green.

If I can make it there (Putt-Putt) I can make it anywhere. :cheesy:

Well I went into my local American golf got the guy to do a brief putter fitting just for length and lie

He recommended that my current 34" putter was close but possibly could play 35" to get my eyes more inside the line (they were pretty much on top of the ball) lie angle he said I looked pretty standard but to know for certain a proper fitting would need done.

What do you guys think, is his info correct or on the right track?

I agree that putter length is a personal preference. I'm 5'10" & use a 31.5" Callie and a 32" Nicky. There's a 1/2" difference in length between these 2 putters but one has a plumbers neck and the other has a hosel like an iron, so in my mind they both put me in the same position over the ball. Strange but true...

I'm 6'4 and my putter has recently grown to 36" from 35.5".  I vary my stance, being more upright on longer putts.  I use a 13" grip so I can vary my hand position, at the bottom for more control on short putts.
