I received two Wilson Staff Golf Balls in the mail yesterday. I signed up for the free giveaway that was posted on the forum about 3 weeks ago. I live in USA in the state of Kentucky. It was 50 degrees outside today and it rained about 3/4 of an inch of rain yesterday. It was cart path only. The wind was 15 to 20 miles an hour. The flags were standing straight out.

Putting- the ball has a click to it. Something along the lines of the old Spalding Tour Edition. But not as bad. The ball didn't jump off the face, it did roll a little funny. Something along the lines of the old Maxfli Balata Golf Balls with the different shaped dimples. I had 26 putts so it wasn't that bad.

Driving-the ball was a medium flight and felt fine off the face of the club. The fairways were semi soggy so it was more or less carry and stop. I flew one tee shot 265. Normally I would get about 20 to 25 yards roll with it but it was all carry. Most of the shots carried just about the same as if I was playing my normal ball. Which is a prov1x. All the rest of the balls carried in the 245 to 255 range.

Irons- With a full shot then it was a one hop and stop. But I am a high ball hitter. I even spun it back on the last par 3. It plays about 127 slightly uphill. It is sloped from back to front. It spun back about 5 feet with a pitching wedge. Knockdown shots don't work very well. It doesn't have enough spin. I had to play a knockdown with a 6 iron from about 155 dead into the wind. It flew just like i normally hit a knockdown. I call it quail high. When it hit the green the instead of one hop and stop, it released and rolled off the back of the green. It makes a nice click when you hit the ball with an iron. I play Titleist 660 irons. So they have a different sound to them.

Wedge's- I played all 4 of the par 5's to wind up with an 80 yard shot into the green. This is a 3/4 lob wedge to me. I choke down an inch or so. This produces a flatter flight and lots of spin. I take big divots. I played the ball to hit the green and run toward the flag. Only on ball stopped within decent distance. It was around 10 feet or so. One of them hit and ran off the back of the green. The other two hit and rolled past the pin all the way to the back of the green. With flop shots you cant flop it 3 or 4 feet from the hole and it one hop and stop. I lay the blade wide open and either choke down or make knee, waist or shoulder high soft swings and throw it way up in the air. If u didn't play it to land about 10 feet from the hole then u were past the hole. It doesn't spin that well on shots that aren't full.

It reminded me of the Titleist NXT tour or the Callaway HX Hot. Distance wise. It was longer than a prov1x and a taylormade black. I hit three shots into the green with all three of the balls 4 different times. The one that comes to mind most. I had 155 uphill shot, the elevation changes from fairway to green were about 20 to 25 feet. I hit an 8 iron over the back of the green. Twice I hit the gap wedge. Mine is a 51 degree Cleveland 588 gunmetal. I hit both of them to the back of the green. I shot it with my range finder and it was 135 once and 132 once. That is about 10 yards more than I normally allow for this club. Would I buy a dozen of these balls. Yes Ithink they would make a great wintertime ball. If they sell for less than 20 dollars then that would be great. My two cents worth. This ball is not worth 25 to 30 dollars a dozen. I don't think they would be a good summertime ball when it is hard and fast at all. I shot 75 today with 26 putts. I havent played but one time in the last week. My swing today rated by myself was about a 7 out of ten. I hope this helps anyone that is interested.

I did play all 18 holes with one ball. It had some wear to it but no big wedge gouges or peel marks.
