expensive running socks.  You can tell they are expensive because they only sell them in single pairs.

When wearing shorts I prefer white, of ankle height that are heel padded or reinforced and toe reinforced.  Gold-toe is one good brand, but I have found some generic and cheaper ones to be quite satisfactory.  The shoe-top heigth bother me as they seem to work off my heel ( very narrow feet ).
When wearing pants, I wear my typical black dress socks which also are heel reinforced.  ? Chaps or Champion.  I have never seen the need for more expensive name-brand athletic socks; e.g. Nike, FootJoy, etc.

I wear Nike Mid cut basketball socks, great for the summer as they have a ton of ventilation, and are cushioned on the heels.

Swiftwick as a brand.  Expensive but worth it.  Many different types for many different preferences. I like the low cut in the summer and the wool crew length in the winter.

Sure I'll play. Golf cart course and it doesn't really matter TBH, but for 80%+ of rounds I play, I am walking and I prefer Darn Tough.

Haven't had to use their 'lifetime warranty' yet, but I find their socks really comfortable and durable. They have lots of length and padding options. Via gobros.com they have deals running off and on year round.
WITB | Courses Played list | How to leave feedback

"I don't agree 100% with your analysis.  Yes, it's nice to hole out, which I did twice during last weeks game, but didn't need either to win those holes or the match.   All that was needed was a tap in to win each hole.  Of course, I was aiming from 20yds and 15yds with the intent to put the ball in the hole, but the expectation was tap-ins." Feetures! or Stance are my go to. I tried Swiftwick and found that they just don't hold up as well.

The least expensive low cut or ankle height spandex, lycra, poly blend I can find. They wick moisture away as well as the expensive ones. I wear them a dozen or so times and then donate to Goodwill or St. Vincents. The TJMaxx and Marshalls near me has great deals on 3 and 4 pack Adidas, Fila, Nike, Wilson, UA. $6.99-$9.99. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Swiftwick Aspire One.  They are comfortable and durable. Kentwool are also fantastic, just a little thick for my liking.

I walk 125 rounds per year and I tend just to grab the generic no show socks at the golf store that are like 6 for $10. My feet are like leather on the bottoms so I don't notice a big difference in socks. The cheap socks are great as I have about 25 pairs I keep in my locker and and little sock laundry bag. When I get down to about 2 or 3 pairs left I take home and wash them and toss out the ratty ones.

My wife and Daughters once convinced to join them for pedicure. Why you would want to get rid of all the nice callous skin off your foot is lost on me, but for a few weeks my feet my have look great but felt very tender during rounds.
