Played TPC Las Vegas a couple weeks ago and have to say WOW! I don't get the opportunity to play many higher end courses and when I do it's usually in some type of charity scramble event. Normally, I play courses that just let me hit driver as often as I want with no real punishment unless one goes way off course. Not this one. It was fun to play a track that took some thought on every shot. Even playing what I thought was conservative, I ended up finding trouble on shots that looked good from the tee.

Needless to say, it really killed me and my ego, but I hope I get the opportunity to play there again some day.

Anyone else play there? If so, what were your thoughts?

TPC Las Vegas is a great track.  I second exactly what you said.  A great operation all around.  I found the course to be in excellent shape when I played it a couple of years back.  I believe it was April. I knew it was going to be a good day when I stepped on the range and was impressed.

Jump in your rental car and drive 20 minutes up to the 3 courses at Paiute. 3 awesome Pete Dye designs, rack rate is about 50% of the expensive Valley courses and you can always get last minute deals on Golf Now. Enjoy.

I've played TPC Vegas three times, and I loved it. I'm from NY so getting to play desert golf is a change of pace for me.

I remember my last round there, on the 18th hole, it was windy and I had the wind with me. With the wind and roll on the fairways, I put one out there a SkyCaddie-measured 320 yards (under normal conditions a good drive is 250-260, so 320 is pretty awesome for me). It was a par 4, and I think I had maybe 50-60 yards in. Nice way to end my round there, especially since I can't be sure if I will get out to Vegas ever again.
