My wife and I are looking to take a trip in early February.  We would prefer to go somewhere that is reasonably warm (at least in the 70's), has some great courses, and things to do When we are not golfing. We are considering SanDiego, San Antonio, and Carolina.  Suggestions?

Of those 3 cities, I would pick San Diego in February.

Kiawah  island is running a special right now. Plus you are within a hour of Charleston.

Thanks. I saw that.  Looks like it's in the 50-60's that time of year.  Having the option of Charleston nearby is intriguing.

Among the ones listed it seems like San Diego is the only reasonable choice. The other two can have crappy weather at that time. I am surprised Scottsdale isn't on your list although we could do with about 50% of the people we get this time of year. It is already getting crazy right now.

I know some people that go there, but they aren't golfers.  Good places to play and stay?

My wife and I did Scottsdale last year.  We loved it.  Plenty of golf (expensive at that time of year, stunning scenery, and some really interesting other things to do (Botanical Garden - sounds lame but VERY cool, Taliesin West (Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home - well worth the trip).  We also made a trip up to Sedona - I cannot recommend that highly enough, including a Pink Jeep Tour.

The nice thing about Scottsdale is that you're almost guaranteed good weather.

La Quinta seems to be the default stay and play.

I'm off to Bandon Dunes a the end of Feb....Might not be sunny and warm, but it will be the best golf you can play!

Late February I would say come on down to SA but early February is still that transition period of awesome 70s days and brutal blustery, wet 40s days.
