Outback or Longhorn for me. Both are great if the service is consistent lol.

it was longhorn for the longest for me, the outlaw ribeye is one of the best out there and my wife loves the salmon but we had a few bad experiences to many while waiting to get a table and started going to texas steer instead. they are just as good.  not sure if the same company runs both or not but im not going back to long horn for a long while.  ruth chris', weber grill or gene and georgetti's are great and all but for the money id rather just pick up a few steaks at a local butcher and cook them at home

We dont have many, i guess "the keg" which is somewhat of a canadian staple. There's a lot of steaks which aren't crazy expensive, and they usually have a bar section. The one near my place gets pretty lively. You can get steaks that are pretty good for low 30$ range

There is a lower priced chain in Quebec called "Steak-Frites" which just means Steak and Fries. And for 25$ or so you got a steak and unlimited fries, plus it's a bring your own wine. The steaks aren't incredible or anything, but it's good value

Closest Mastros is 50 miles, so Ill go with Ruthie Chris.... May hit the Mastros in the La Quinta or Orange County.. Keep hearing good things!

Logans is my favorite chain steakhouse, but I rarely get actual steak there..... maybe a cheap sirloin every once in a while but usually get a salad or that chopped sirloin..... I can enjoy Ruth's Chris on someone else's dime but I won't spend my own money there when I can go better places for the money.

Of all the fancy places I've eaten and the money I've spent on steaks, I think I get the most consistently decent steak at Texas Roadhouse.

I loved the steak at Doe's Eat Place in Tulsa.  Haven't been to the more "prestigious" places in Tulsa but this is by far the best steak I have had in the area.

We have a couple of The Kegs out here in the North Dallas area; I had no idea they were part of a big Canadian chain until I started seeing their ads on Canadian broadcasts of Center Ice games.  Pretty nice steakhouse for a multi-country chain...

Outback!

I like anywhere that I can get seared ahi tuna for an appetizer.

I like Ruth's Chris, but if I want to spend some money for a good steak I'll go to Gumbeaux's.  It's closer, better, cheaper, and you can get fried alligator to go with it!  But it's not a chain...
Or just grill one at home.

Ruth's Chris for me. Haven't been to others that get good press, like Morton's or McCormick and Schmick, but RC is in a different class than Outback, Longhorn, etc... Not to say those aren't good, but a premium steakhouse is a special treat!

Around here, Texas Roadhouse.  Longhorn uses too much seasoning, especially heavy on the salt.  Ruth Chris steaks always end up tasting like a bowl of pepper.  If I'm going to a chain steak house, Texas Roadhouse has a good balance of flavoring.

Surprised that people like TR or Longhorn, I was highly disappointed by both.
Maybe they just suck up here.

Since my neighbor just butchered his beef and loaded me up, I will be eating at my all time favorite steakhouse "teeitlow's" located deep in the woods in N. Idaho!

Being in Canada my vote goes to the Keg as well - although there is a Keg location in Phoenix that we visit whenever we're there. In the U.S. its usually Longhorns. My beef (no pun intended) with the high-end steak houses like Ruths Chris is after charging me $50 plus for a steak, please don't charge me extra for the potato.

Lone Star is good for a reasonably priced steak dinner.  Lettuce wedge is awesome.

Sullivan's and Outback aren't as good as they used to be.  Morton's and Ruth's Chris are not even worth the splurge.  I'd go to The Palm to blow my money.

I really hate high end chain steakhouses.  They are never as good as local high end steak houses (thinking of places like St, Elmo's, Gibson's, Hyde Park (though there are 5 or 6 of them now), etc).  Smith and Wollensky is inconsistent and really not very good (though they have great apps and always have great bar setups), McCormick and Schmidts is kind of the same, Mortons has always left me feeling 'meh'.  Idk what it is I just never think chains are as good as the smaller joints.

With that said, for more midrange restaurants, I love me some Outback.  The cut can sometimes be inconsistent and little grisseled, but the flavor is always there.  For the price, it's my go to when I want a mid range type of chain (which is like twice a year... Not saying I only eat at nice restaurants, I just prefer local restaurants that are smaller).

I like RC, but only on someone else's dime.  If I'm paying, it's Outback for me.  I also like Logan's Roadhouse.  Never was a fan of Longhorn...seemed like the steaks were too salty and over seasoned.

I'll be honest I don't really care for chain Steakhouses, only really have 2 near me and no thanks! Although I do have 3-4 Restaurants that have excellent steaks I'll go there if I want a good steak.
