John Daly withdrew from the Bard Capital Challenge on Wednesday, saying he broke his right hand playing in an exhibition last weekend.

It was not clear how Daly injured his hand or how long he would be out. Tournament officials said the injury happened at the Duff Challenge at Casablanca Resort in Mesquite, Nev.

Daly's agent, Bud Martin, did not immediately return a phone call.

"Unfortunately, due to an injury, I am forced to withdraw from this year's inaugural Bard Capital Challenge," Daly said in a statement.

Not exactly a common golf injury (although if it could happen to anybody i suppose it might be john). I wonder what the whole story is here.

i wonder if this could of happen from him banging a club or having a tamper tantrum as he has in the past.

This being John Daly, im actually not suprised to hear this kind of news. Any other golfer and it is big news to me

He got drunk in Vegas a couple weeks ago at the Mesquite tournament dinner and showed up the next morning with his hand/fingers in a cast
