I had a set of Cleveland CG4 tours(I think) that I had bought off ebay.  First shot I hit with them was actually on the course.  I still remember the shot and how soft it felt coming off the club and it actually hit the green and spun like a maniac.  I think I had been playing I5's prior to that and loved them but they definitely did feel like that.  I had 2 of my best summers of golf with that set.  Then I took them to Golf Galaxy to get a new set of grips put on and the employee said that based on my divot line I should bend them to 2 degrees upright.  I gave him the green light and could never get comfortable over them again.

MacGregor Tourney MT circa 2000. Cast from 304 steel they were not massively forgiving but I loved having them in my bag. They got passed on to two other golfers far better than I who made good use of them.

bending the revs is an iffy proposition.  The hosel won't break.  They are as soft as butter, but due to the multi-layer material design, the outer nickel/chrome skin will 'crinkle' or show stretch marks.  I had a set and found that to be true.  1 or 2 degrees is okay, when you get more than that they show the stress on the outer skin

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking 2* flat.

Interesting.    I've been looking at the Hireko website building a set for kicks and giggles.    The only thing that bugs me is the offset on the long irons.   Otherwise, these are very clean and easy on the eye.

I'd go with the Cleveland TA4 or Titleist DCI 981.  Both were fantastic sets, but I think they were overshadowed by much of their competition, including other options from within their own brands.

I'll throw the XTD forged in on that list too. I bought both the CMBs and the XTD forged this winter to fight for a spot in the bag, and I think the XTDs have won out. Both are amazingly great clubs.

For me it's the Taylormade RAC Lt2. I wish I never sold them, I'd likely still be playing them. Trying to NOT think that the RSi2's would feel similar, because I'm pretty happy with my current irons.
