I know this topic has been discussed numerous times so for anyone who has had enough of it I apologize in advance but I am interested in a MB blade purchase in the near future and seriously would consider the Cobra's like Ogilvy and Poulter have if they are in fact coming to retail.
Can anyone reliably confirm any new information regarding the above as a few of us on this site have expressed interest in purchasing a set if in fact they do come to retail...
I only saw mention of the MBs on the blog. What are the pro cbs?
thanks
The pro CB's are what Camillo and JB play. More information to come next week when we air our interview with David Abeles Cobra's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

I assume since they are limited release, they are going to want a King's Ransom for them... but i would pay it...
I'd hold off on my plan for some Mizzy's to get these puppies.
Looking at a G for the set!
If your right then Cobra can expect to see most of them collecting dust in pro shops and taking up space in their wharehouse. Historically they have never had much luck at selling there clubs at a premium price and I doubt these will be different. I'll wait and get a set out of the dicsount bin at the end of next year.
After everyone here buys a set that will leave about 2800 sets gathering dust. I have no idea what Cobra is thinking offering these when they couldn't give away argueably their best forging in the SS Forged (softness, forgiveness, superb sole grind for all conditions) since the days of the Greg Norman forgings (done by MacGregor of course). These should take their place right beside the Pro Speed S and D offerings of this year--virtually undetectable sales.
Cobra needs to get back to what they did well---a $299 all ti driver that performs and game improvement irons that don't look like shovels. While they fiddle in the pro level equipment market and continue to offer comp/multi material $399 drivers that nobody wants they keep losing market share. Too bad for a company that appeared on its way back by just producing equipment that performed. And all this without a tour presence other than Hale Irwin on the Seniors... People would demo it and buy it based on performance and value. Now people might demo it based a little on tour presence but the fact remains they aren't buying because of performance and value.

This could be one the first times a major OEM has done all their market research on just several internet golf sites....
But I guess time will tell. With Camillio and Gore, this could be the turn of Cobra to back when they were a players brand. I have no love for Titleist Forgings though.
I'm a demo specialist for Cobra and titleist. I've had much contact with the guys in Carlsbad in reference to product. Let me assure you retail venues will never get the clubs tour players like ogilvy and poulter use. it's just too expensive to make those irons. those heads are forged and ground to exact specs and would cost thousands for the average guy. the retail version is still a great club for quite a bit less $$.
this post from two years ago. these people were waiting for the pro cb's and mb's to be released. we all know now that they were. at this time 2 years ago these irons were only on tour, and not available retail. before you go and correct old posts, check the relevancy so i do not waste my time checking for new cobra blades. cuz the s2 forged with a huge cavity are worthless to me. bye bye now me love you long time
