GolfTEC

GolfTEC’s patented g-SWING System is unique in the golf industry, offering a fact-based approach that eliminates the guesswork from the process:

    * Digital video: Allows your coach to see more than the human eye can retain in a 1-second swing
    * Motion Analysis: A small harness provides accurate measurements of the exact position of your body throughout the swing. This, synchronized with the video, allows us a perfect assessment of your exact position at every critical point in the swing motion.
    * Biofeedback: Small audio tones are used to positively and negatively reinforce behavior and reinforce the learning process.
    * Tour Database: We have researched and measured the swings of over 150 touring professionals to better define which body positions best generate a quality swing. While every tour pro is different, they all share many fundamental swing qualities that result in consistent play. This provides an accurate benchmark to measure your position throughout your swing.

Ohh when I said I worked with her, I meant I worked at Langdon Farms when she worked there. I did take a few lessons from her as well, and used to talk with her a lot, but I never remember her mentioning Hogan.

I'd also add Adam Bouchard at Redtail.  Great instructor and a nice guy.  Been with him for a while and he definitely puts his effort into your learning.

By the way Fly Fish I really like the local recommendations in the signature, great idea.

I noticed that none of your male instructors tout PGA membership but "RYG Certified" instead.  However, they all seem to have bachelor's degrees.  What's the story there?

Many of them are going through the PGA program currently. We have a young staff. Most of the guys are under 35. Nick Mabry is a PGA Pro. Shane Hanrahan has passed all levels of his certification and will be PGA in December. RYG stands for Raise Your Game and is a proprietary certification you must pass to be able to teach/fit at our facility. I would say as a facility we believe there is a lot more to being a quality instructor and fitter than having the title of PGA.

i have been taking lessons from him for about a year.  hell of a guy - excellent instructor.  we have been trying to rework my swing to eliminate the left side.  changing/controlling shot shape that has been ingrained for years is very difficult - adam has been fantastic with concepts/feel.  looking forward to taking the next step in my game with adam...

Don't forget Gary Rassette - he is an exceptional instructor - Gary is very personable and always puts 110% into his lessons - anybody that is a beginner looking for some solid help should go and see Gary

Sad news. Gary has left RedTail and moved with his girlfriend to China.

I have a friend who took a few lessons from Julie Miller. My friend badly needed basic instruction on how to swing a golf club so as to 1) actually hit the ball, and 2) hit the ball more than 100 yds. She did get some of that. But she also got some concerted sales pitches for custom built clubs. Granted her clubs are not the latest and greatest, but they are way down the list of what might be preventing her from joining the LPGA tour. My friend felt pressured. I advised her to find a different instructor.

ps: I also give the claim of having been Ben Hogan's student a very hairy eyebrow.

Martin, I wish I would have known that when I was down ther in April.  I would have taken a lesson as well..

On a Red Tail note, I have taken a couple lessons with Jason Jett out there.  He has helped me out tremendously.  Taken my handicap down from a 6 to a 2.4 since November.

Great guy, and I really think he has a bright teaching future.  just my .02 cents worth.
