This Sunday 9pm easterm. Golfwrx is proud to have David Mills son of the founder of T.P.MIlls, discuss his world class putters. Did you know that you can design a putter through them. They have multiple styles to choose from. T.P. Mills is the father of the milled putter. He is the first to mark the sweetspot. He is the first to sweep the weight towards the toe of the putter to counter balance the hosel to help keep the sweet spot closer to the center of the face for better balance. T.P. has these and may other accomplishments. Please visit the chat room this Sunday to get some insight on this hot putter. David will be discussing the history and current innovations of T.P. Mills. Who knows you might just find the magic blade there!

3.) David, Thanks for taking the time to be with us this evening... I know I can speak for a number of us here in that admire your work. Out of curiousity, how long does it take for you to build a custom handmade on average?

I'm setting my alarm now...what a great experience this could be. question I have is how much testing goes into every new design? For example, what kind of corrections need to be made if add extra weight to the toe, make the sole wider etc?

Any MOI putters on the horizon?
Legal battle issues with SC over oval use, any insight?
Any new models to watch out for? Retail line?
Any ideas of signing with a larger OEM again? Nike???
What's your least favourite design you have, if any?
What kind of putter do you use?

That's a big catch! Like someone else already said I would like to know more about the new retail line that has been rumoured for a while on the internet.

Was there any particular reason for breaking off with Mizuno as the putters seemed to be of pretty good quality?
The rumored retail line has been called "affordable'. To what extent does affordable mean?
...someone asked this before, but:
Do you have any plans for a MOI putter?

David, what type of weight (average) are most tour pros shooting for in their putters? Also, how much toe hang do many of the tour putters have? Thanks for your insight!

What's the most popular length?
Do you ever set putters deliberately open or closed? What does this do to the stroke/what kind of stroke should have this done?
Where do you see the company in 5 years? 10 years?
Proudest moment on tour?
What do you do away from the game?
How much time do you spend on average in the shop a day?
How many models are used weekly on tour? How many putters do you make on average a given week on tour?

I'd like to hear what both T.P. and David have in their bags--from the flatstick to driver.
Less than 15 and a half hours to go!

Good question. That would be intereting considering they have no ties to other manufacturers.

I too would also love to know! Now that David is a member I wonder if we can get a WITB Photo Edition!

Looks like this will be the format.
One of your questions above, either exact or modified/combined, will be asked to David and he will respond. Then we can Q&A off of that....

What advice/tips would you give to aspiring putter makers?
What role do different metals play in putter designs?
What role do different metals play in regards to inserts?
What inspires your creations?
