The Callaway Golf® Big Bertha Fusion Fairway Woods utilize Fusion Technology, which uses multiple materials in clubhead construction to move more weight where it provides the most benefit to you. The result is unprecedented distance, playability, performance and confidence, which make the Big Bertha Fusion Fairway Woods the perfect complement to the Big Bertha Fusion FT-3 Driver.

This is one of the best fairway clubs i have, it is everything you could want in a club.

Long, accurate and very workable, a great choice.

Just back from trying this. Have the driver which I love and wondered about this. It looks great behind the ball. Very sleak. Not hugely forgiving, maybe due to the small head size, but my god when you strike it flies forever. Would be great for use off the tee and on approaches on long par 4s/ par 5s. I also found it good with the Aldila NVS which it comes with. 55 gram shaft helps to keep it high despite a low spin rate. Nice club, just a shame I haven't got the money to spend on it. It is quite expensive.

Ditto, great clubs, have two in my bag. However, I think the key component is the shaft... Graphite Design YS-7+ for my game!

Thanks,

Very good indeed... I have 2 tour issues.. one with a PM902 and one with a ROMBAX... hell I have alot of fairway woods :crazy2:

Review of a 15 ys7x added

Tour Issue 15*
YS-7 shaft in X-----may change to RCH36
43@D3

Appearance:

Somewhat mid-sized head.. the black is very nice..the topline looks like one piece the composite area is not really noticable at all. Even the alignment aid does not bother me. The shape is great and the depth of the face inspires confidence at address.

Feel and Sound:

It's not like any callaway FW I've hit before...and I've hit them all. I really like the 2004/05 Big Bertha's as well, but the fusion is another notch above. I've been playing Titleist 970's for years now and believe it or not this fusion is right there with them. Solid solid solid.. super quiet I was shocked.

Playability and Performance:

Awesome... I've been searching for a more easy to hit 3 wood and I think I have found it. It's everything the 970 is + forgiveness..I flew the green on a short 261 yard uphill par4 and reached a par5 from 270 out. Somewhat wind aided but it's been many rounds since I have been able to do this on those 2 holes that I play weekly. Trajectory is somewhat high which is fine with me since I could use the assistance. Easy off the tee and just as easy off the turf.

Overall:

Callaway has a winner on their hands.. totally impressed! I've now am ALL callaway with fairway woods.. This fusion and a Tour BB2004 7+ with a fuji sapphire shaft. It's so in the bag. I think this is a club for everyone.. I'm just your average 9+ handicapper with about a 108 mph SS.

Went right into my bag. Nice looks with a compact head, the lie angle fit me perfect. Easy to control direction, but as much on the height of the ball flight. That could be more of the shaft - Accra SE80 M5. Has better forgiveness than I thought, given the clubhead size. I loved the feel of a pure shot and mishits provide enough of a sensory clue to remember, but not too sour. Great off the tee! Expensive club, but worth it.

Easily THE longest 3 wood I have ever hit. Also one of the best looking. Driver-like distance from a 13* midsize 3 wood is just fun! Really pi$$es off my palying partners when I'm by them with my 3 vs. their shiny new drivers. Two have since broken down and bought a fusion 3, one even got the 5 wood. Don't know why, but the NVS stiff works great for me with this light clubhead even when I jump on it. That shaft absolutely did not work for me in the driver but the 757 did. Guess I got lucky and got a spined OEM shaft. Ball flight is strong as it should be with a 13*. A few pros are playing these. Go hit one and you'll see why. The FT-3 is equally cannon-like. Well done Cally!

Great club. Absolutely fantastic off the deck and very good off the tee. Check out Callaway's pre-owned site. Clubs are in better condition than anywhere else I've seen (for used clubs) and prices are much more reasonable than the very high price for these clubs new.

Nice off the tee. I like the muted feel the carbon crown generates. Feels more like a wood than a metal. Distance is as long as my 909f2 wood of similar loft. Off the fairway, this club is not easy for the inconsistent ball striker. The face is small compared to today's woods, and at address the head appears sexy though tiny. I have mine with the upgraded Fujikura Fit On shaft. Ideal for an easy swinger. I need more practice hitting this wood off the deck. Overall, a very sweet feeling club. Probably best for low to mid handicap players.
