I TIVO'ed the telecast of the Skins Game today and on two separate occations today, I got a close up of the back of Freddy's irons. Natually with my trusty remote control, I stopped, and backed up the frame until I could get a great glimpse. The zoom feature on my big screen worked well too because after blowin' that picture up a bit, you could clearly see the back of his iron and it was the TM 300 not the Bridgestone.

Not sure what his club contract calls for but he may want to cover those bad boys a bit better tomorrow.

Just can't stray from a classic, can ya????

They were very good irons though. I would say better than the TPs. Another case of pros using what they feel comfortable with.

not saying they aren't good irons....in fact, I was oozing sarcasm because they could be the finest set of cavity back forgings to date and he had been playing a prototype set of J33 cavity backs for Bridgestone

He may not have to play Bridgestone equipment being that this event is not official money.
Of course, he may also have in his contract that he can play other clubs if he feels that he will perform better with them.
I must say though, the driver sure seemed to give him trouble yesterday, and he want to consider hitting something other than what's in the bag.

He's been using TM's for most of the year and recently BEFORE the season ended. Freddy has more of a ball-hat-bag deal than a club deal.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him with a different bag next year.

He tried the BS driver and soon the TM580 XD TP came back to the bag.
(With the S2H2 Callaway fairway wood.)

The announcers said on the broadcast that he airmailed a few greens because he was playing a new ball for the weekend. Did not say what kind of ball. I agree, he is probably looking at new sticks for next year.

Hey Gozz welcome to the forum, glad you made it!

Anyone know what a good price would be on a retail set of these?

Thanks Placebo, had to look for something new. The other site was moving a little slow. Thanks for the hook up on the wrx.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The 300's are probably the most perfect iron made.

The ball was a Bridgestone ball and the irons (300's) are the finest...no doubt.

But hey, if you can't get those, get the Adams irons, the new holy grails, handed down from God via the designer who left TM.

:cheesy:

One of these days I am going to have to get a set of 300s.

Hey, I know a special place where you can get a SATIN set of Adams tour irons. That makes them extra, super special. :yahoo: :cheesy: :yahoo:

I can't believe you've never had a set of 300's!
