Thanks again! Given that I don't want to ruin anyone else's surprise either I've masked my comments. The one thing I will say is that I was surprised by how classy I thought Kontak handled himself in the epidode. He never once bashed Josh even when it appeared as if he might have been baited. All I can say is that he appeared to have been justified by razzing A-Rod and his comments about Gerry James must have been provoked by something. Perhaps it was as little as being ticked off about him making it as far as he did given how many bad shots he made time after time. It's funny that when I first saw the show where he kept bashing James I found it really offensive, but upon seing the rerun a week or two later I could sort of see where he was coming from given his smartass personality.
As for the results . . .
I really enjoyed the series and hope they have a simliar calibre lineup again soon.

More like 3 under through 8 holes...he hit a 8I and 9I into the par 5's ...so that not really a great feat. Dont get me wrong, he can play..but him being such a tool the whole show had me pulling againdt him. Too bad it was so one sided for the finale.

I kind of understand what you are saying but the card still says its a par 5 plus at one time he was 7 under through 12 or 13.

this could be the best, most accurate post in this whole thread.... I always ask myself about the gap between being good and great- and it is a lot wider than you think... this show proves it- and that gap only widens depending on the venue and circumstances.
There is no doubt that a D lister on the PGA tour would mop these guys up, but then again, it is a TV show and certainly fulfills the entertainment quotient..

Gerry was an a**...all his great shots were due to skill and all his poor shots were mental errors...he would never say he just hit a bad shot and screwed up...but was eager to give that label to the others. I would have been poking him too as it obviously bothered him...LOL

Did anyone notice the bunker comment....something like it was not that hard of a shot, and with his abilities..(long pause) I would have expected for him to hit inside 10 feet.....to me that sounded like a small diss. Maybe I am reading into it to much. Just struck me as odd.
Josh might have the best attitude I have ever seen. That guy was so positive and just seems like a real good dude. I wish him the best in his golfing career....I wish I had his attitude when I was playing competitively, might have helped me that is for sure.
Best season for the guys so far. Competition was great. Maybe they should incorporate some golf in some of the challenges to get rid of some of the guys that are hanging on hitting flops or whatnot. Maybe like a combo of the fun games, and then have the eliminations be a hole or two of golf and a game. Something like that. Switch it up a little bit.
Also sidenote* Becky Lucidi from the ladies big break got her LPGA tour card this year. Pretty good stuff.

I think the camera guy may have asked him which club he was playing.
As much as I wanted Josh to win, BK clearly had the more solid game when it came down to "straight up golf holes" (as BK put it).

No worries. I have similar pipe dreams about numerous female golfers, and one in particular.
(Although, right now, I would be happy if customer service would just answer the phone so I wouldn't have to listen to this awful 'elevator/hold music' which frequently interrupted by the same "your call is important to us" and "have you tried our website" recorded messages.)

As far as Josh, wow, I wish I could have an attitude like that. I think he'll get somewhere. He's still VERY young, and with a great attitude and a stellar short game, I believe he will get somewhere in this game. He just needs some experience playing some mini-tours, qualifiers, ect. I think this doesn't bother him in the LEAST, and he hit some clutch shots under some extreme pressure. Hats off to him (or visors).

Man, that was hard to watch. I was pulling for Josh, but he didn't look good right out of the gate. How many times is he going to airmail one over the green and say, "Gosh, I really pured that one..."? I mean his distance control over the last few shows has been terrible.
I too would have like to have seen a stronger competition for the finale. Something tells me Hiroshi would have put up more of a fight.

I agree 100%.
Like him or not (the latter for ME) the right guy (between the two) won last night.
Hiroshi vs. BK would have been a great final.
Hiroshi was the best player this season, hands down.

Relatively early. He pretty much flamed out on a 3-hole playoff elimination. It was clear that he was struggling with his swing toward the end (developed a pretty hideous over the top hitch) and just wasn't hitting good shots in the clutch.

I like BK though....and don;t find him rude whatsoever....He's truthful and I respect that. If he offended anyone they just need thicker skins. Congrats BK.

He didn't, though. He buckled under pressure just like so many other people have. It's not a knock on him, of course... I definitely think he was one of the better players, but he was eliminated in stroke play, you know? It's not like hewas sent home because he couldn't hit a flop shot over a wall. He made it to the serious stuff, and he got beat.
